I am working on a much longer piece I will hopefully publish at the end of this weekend. It’s my birthday! I say this not as a shameless plug for well wishes, but only to explain why there is a lapse in content. My daughter flew out to spend a couple of days with me and we drove up to our favorite town, Solvang, California.
We love this town because we love the movie Sideways. Obviously, it’s not a movie for everyone but there is something tragic and hilarious about the characters who pretend to be sophisticated but aren’t.
Since I don’t get to see my daughter often, this is a special treat for the weekend. She’ll be flying back to New York on Monday.
I am working on a piece about January 6th, the Twitter Files, and the embarrassing spectacle in Congress involving unhinged and delusional Democrats, which I hope to post soon.
Hope you all are having a nice weekend.
A Quick Note
Happy Birthday!
I loved Sideways. I didn't think they were acting sophisticated, and they certainly weren't. I enjoyed the wine banter between Giamatti and Madsen. And Haden Church was hilarious.

Looking forward to your take on the Twitter Files hearing. I watched the entire spectacle and couldn't believe it. The parties have now official traded places regarding civil liberties. The Dems kept saying this was a hearing to determine if conservatives were being treated unfairly in media, which was not at all the point. It was clearly about the first amendment, but since the Dems have been enjoying the fruits of the deal they've made with the media and alphabet agencies, they aren't interested in changing anything.
Just like the short sighted decisions that Harry Reid made with the filibuster, and Nancy on kicking opposing party members off committees, this will eventually come around to bite them on their collective asses.
Enjoy the weekend with your daughter and Happy Birthday!
