Wonderful, Sasha! Those who know nothing about fascism see it (expediently) as a phenomenon of the right. But Hitler and Mussolini were anomalies, rank amateurs compared to the likes of Stalin and Mao. Historically, fascism emerged in the early 20th century with the rise of electronic media as the new religion of the state -- the new moral authority. Where theocracies rose by the sword of imposed moral authority, however, the rise of secular Fascism demands the opposite: a moral vacuum filled by the cults of personality, celebrity, expertise and political correctness (wokeness). Both forms reflect spiritual disorder and disease, but only secular Fascism promotes itself as our primary co-conspirator: friend not foe, partner not master. It smiles at us while it steals our freedom.

So true and so sad. I actually liked 'Campaign Trail' better than 'Las Vegas.' Masterful. And what a ride.
