I went to bed last night really pissed at the network "commentators" who kept referring to candidates as "election deniers" when Democrats have "denied" every election to come along for the past 50 years. THEY are the real election deniers, and the media are their town criers.

Sasha, great job!

What a clear argument framed in decades of clear history of denying elections

I’m so grateful you took the time to write this on midterm day. It seems we have travelled similar paths (California children of the 70’s/80’s, former lifelong Democrats who are now firmly in the Independent camp). One thing though: I absolutely think the 2000 election was stolen to enable their neoconservative plans for the world, and most likely it was the same forces behind the 2020 election shenanigans. Think NWO...

EXCELLENT ARTICLE! One thing gets me, I don't see how Democrats can blame Vietnam on Nixon when JFK started it and Nixon started pulling troops out as soon as he took office. (Yeah, I know, Ike had military advisors in South Vietnam but he had them all over the world. It was JFK who decided to up the ante because he was embarrassed about the Bay of Pigs.)

What will it take people? Who looks at the last 2 years and thinks "I want me some more of that" ??

Excellent; timely, relevant, clear, comprehensive, compelling and truthful. Woknazis are unlikely to change given how crushing it would be to admit how cruelly they behaved for so long.

Wow this piece was published less the 24 hours ago, and has already aged poorly.

The gall and the absurdity to claim that the right are less violent then then the left. What a fucking distortion of reality Sasha.

Wow. That was one of the most impassioned and heartfelt analyses of where we stand today as a nation I have encountered in recent memory. I hope to wake tomorrow to a better one...but I'm not holding my breath.

Regardless of the outcome of 11/08/2022, future generations must understand the truth of Twenty-first century America and how far off course we have drifted -- or been led astray. It isn't pretty, and if we don't course correct soon the efforts and spilt blood of our forefathers will have been in vain.

I knew a Vietnam vet who returned from that horror at only 19 with his Purple Heart. He said then China was/is the one to watch/fear/etc. not Russia. Until he died a few years ago, he never wavered from that assessment. China domination; their goal.

Thanks for the post, Sasha; always appreciate the perspective of a former Leftist. We need more of you sharing these stories and perspectives. Always remember there are also establishment republicans(McConnell and McCarthy) who share the same vision and fear of ordinary Americans.

Wow, reading this from the perspective of November 9... gut check. This not going to go the way anyone thinks it will. With mail in ballots and election “weeks”, we will essentially have one party rule here in America for years to come. Get ready for more recessions that aren’t “recessions”. Get ready for more “girls” with penises. Get ready for more “owning nothing” but being “happy” about it. God will save the world, but it will be a bumpy ride until then..

Trump is trash time to call him out.

This is from RedState a heavily pro-conservative site

"Don Bolduc lost in New Hampshire, Trump trashed him despite the fact that he was one of the former president’s endorsed candidates. He also bashed Mehmet Oz after that race was called. Worse, in the midst of Republican struggles becoming clear late on election night, Trump took to Truth Social to celebrate the loss of Joe O’Dea in Colorado’s senate race. Later, he bragged about his supposed endorsement record, calling the disappointing night a “great victory.” That’s not leadership. It’s self-serving buck-passing, and it’s especially off-putting given Trump was attempting to take credit for the red wave right up until the moment that it ceased to be."

Trump needs to leave and leave fast. He is the leader of the GOP I don't care if you say he wasn't he was the kingmaker the decider the rally flag. He takes all the credit zero blame. He was created by people neglected in the rural lands but now the chickens have come home to roost he is doing more damage being there than retiring and leaving the GOP to the future.
