Germane to the accounts in Springfield/Ohio: there is a documented 911 call from someone who saw 4 Haitians taking 4 geese from the park, including a partial license plate given! I suspect that should not be hard to follow if anyone was truly interested in the truth. There is a picture that went viral of a man walking down the street with what appears to be a large goose he's holding upside down, although I believe that was confirmed to be taken in Columbus, OH. The body cam footage of the police encountering a woman who was caught eating a cat was also not in Springfield, but in Ohio, I just cannot recall the locale. Thank you for sharing this video with us. Clearly the video presents a viewpoint of an angry Springfield resident with many grievances. While I might not express myself in quite the way that the speaker did, I have considerable sympathy for him and some of what he said.
However please also note that these concerns and grievances were not what was addressed in the debate. Rather during the debate Donald Trump accused the Haitian immigrants of eating pet dogs and cats. When the moderator quoted the Springfield City Manager as saying that there was no evidence that this had happened, Trump doubled down and repeated his charge. In the video to which you link, the man alleges that Haitian immigrants are eating ducks from a local park. He offers no verifiable evidence for this charge and offers no verifiable evidence that the Haitian immigrants are consuming local pets.
In short, while a discussion of the impact of immigrants on Springfield, Ohio is important and ought to have taken place, the matter was sidetracked by Donald Trump's repeated accusation that the Haitian immigrants were eating pet cats and dogs, a charge for which apparently there is no verifiable evidence.
P.S. After posting my original comment, I did some poking around the web to see what I could find out about the situation in Springfield, Ohio. Pace the impresssion of the very widely viewed video which has prompted this thread, there is good evidence that by and large Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio have had a major positive impact on the community. Until their arrival, Springfield had been in decline for many years. The new immigrants have found work in various businesses which have migrated to Springfield and helped revive the economy.
I agree that Trump said cats and dogs. My point is he said something outrageously false but got eyeballs on a problem in Springfield and other cities that would have likely been ignored had he said "ducks and geese". The media would not have been able to refute it and would have moved on quickly. By being wrong Trump did those people a service.
Given what I have subsequently learned from other internet sources regarding the actual situation in Springfield, Ohio, I am uncertain whether Trump did anyone a service. The reality on the ground is that those supposedly awful horrible Haitian immigrants have been critical to reviving a town that was in decline for decades. My point was not about the accuracy of the claim. My point was that the "news" report called the claim "false" without backing it up with any kind of source or proof. They could have said "sources said the claims were false" and that would have been an accurate statement. But to simply say "Trump stated falsely that..." followed by anything without substantiation is propaganda.

Yes, the first viewing of that debate was devastating, and it indeed had the quality of a Hollywood production, including a script... But TV above all else is a visual medium, and while Harris may have won the verbal side, she lost on the visuals--her exaggerated facial expressions and overly-affected manner was a turn off for anyone not already enamored with her. It's kind of like the 1960 Kennedy-Nixon debate, in which Nixon won with radio listeners, but JFK won those who watched on TV because Nixon's shifty-eyed body language spoke louder than his words. Harris would have done better had she been counseled to play it straight and not seek to bully Trump by her words and expressions.
I didn't watch the debate -- I only heard afterwards from those who support Trump how "bad" it was and how "bad" Trump was. But the clips I watched the next day told a different story. Yes the moderators were biased AF, but Trump came off as much more serious and presidential. You got the sense from him that this country has real problems that only he can solve. Kamala came off as someone who had a big bag of nothing policy-wise, and didn't seem all that serious about solving the nation's problems. All she really had was "vote for me because that guy sucks". I will give her props for delivering that message in an unusually concise and direct manner (by her standards), but it was still empty and useless rhetoric.
Even Jake Tapper said she was mostly substance-free.
Why has the Regime let so many illegal aliens into the country? Kamala said she has prosecuted transnational gangs. So shouldn’t she know better than to let them into our country? Thank you for sharing this video with us. Clearly the video presents a viewpoint of an angry Springfield resident with many grievances. While I might not express myself in quite the way that the speaker did, I have considerable sympathy for him and some of what he said.
However please also note that these concerns and grievances were not what was addressed in the debate. Rather during the debate Donald Trump accused the Haitian immigrants of eating pet dogs and cats. When the moderator quoted the Springfield City Manager as saying that there was no evidence that this had happened, Trump doubled down and repeated his charge. In the video to which you link, the man alleges that Haitian immigrants are eating ducks from a local park. He offers no verifiable evidence for this charge and offers no verifiable evidence that the Haitian immigrants are consuming local pets.
In short, while a discussion of the impact of immigrants on Springfield, Ohio is important and ought to have taken place, the matter was sidetracked by Donald Trump's repeated accusation that the Haitian immigrants were eating pet cats and dogs, a charge for which apparently there is no verifiable evidence.
P.S. After posting my original comment, I did some poking around the web to see what I could find out about the situation in Springfield, Ohio. Pace the impresssion of the very widely viewed video which has prompted this thread, there is good evidence that by and large Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio have had a major positive impact on the community. Until their arrival, Springfield had been in decline for many years. The new immigrants have found work in various businesses which have migrated to Springfield and helped revive the economy.

Given what I have subsequently learned from other internet sources regarding the actual situation in Springfield, Ohio, I am uncertain whether Trump did anyone a service. The reality on the ground is that those supposedly awful horrible Haitian immigrants have been critical to reviving a town that was in decline for decades. His comment about consuming pet dogs and cats scapegoated an entire group of people in a way which could easily lead to violence. Please read the Guardian story to which I have already linked.
You would not want to live in a town that has 1/3 of the population being Haitians. It's an absurd argument. Given the events of the week I would presume that the CBS radio report refers to Trump's baseless accusation that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio are eating pet cats and dogs a false claim. On Tuesday evening this week you yourself probably witnessed him making this false claim.
My point was not about the accuracy of the claim. My point was that the "news" report called the claim "false" without backing it up with any kind of source or proof. They could have said "sources said the claims were false" and that would have been an accurate statement. But to simply say "Trump stated falsely that..." followed by anything without substantiation is propaganda.
It is also the case that they are trying to prove a negative which is not possible. A single positive claim of the truth of his statement disproves their statement.
Never mind that I have never heard CBS or any other MSM make a statement that Harris or Biden has claimed anything "falsely" despite the many multiple falsehoods they have made. But for me to say that never have never made such a statement would be wrong--trying to proving a negative.

Yes, the first viewing of that debate was devastating, and it indeed had the quality of a Hollywood production, including a script... But TV above all else is a visual medium, and while Harris may have won the verbal side, she lost on the visuals--her exaggerated facial expressions and overly-affected manner was a turn off for anyone not already enamored with her. It's kind of like the 1960 Kennedy-Nixon debate, in which Nixon won with radio listeners, but JFK won those who watched on TV because Nixon's shifty-eyed body language spoke louder than his words. Harris would have done better had she been counseled to play it straight and not seek to bully Trump by her words and expressions.
She was smiling at his responses which were so absurd it was comical.

I didn't watch the debate -- I only heard afterwards from those who support Trump how "bad" it was and how "bad" Trump was. But the clips I watched the next day told a different story. Yes the moderators were biased AF, but Trump came off as much more serious and presidential. You got the sense from him that this country has real problems that only he can solve. Kamala came off as someone who had a big bag of nothing policy-wise, and didn't seem all that serious about solving the nation's problems. All she really had was "vote for me because that guy sucks". I will give her props for delivering that message in an unusually concise and direct manner (by her standards), but it was still empty and useless rhetoric.
Even Jake Tapper said she was mostly substance-free.
But did you not at least dig her mean girls smiles and smirks? She kept her cackles' under control and she had her lines memorized.
