I worked in Hollywood/LA in the 80’s doing set construction. It was pretty left-ward biased back then so I’m not surprised to hear it’s gotten even crazier since. Every now and then I read something from the LA Times and I’m stunned by the vitriol directed towards any deviation from the approved narrative. It’s unpleasant being the odd man out and annoying to feel like voicing you’re opinions would only jeopardize your livelihood. But here we are. Hang in there!
Thanks, Chris. They've pretty much ruined the business to jeopardize everyone's livelihood at this point. The focus on Democratic politics is at a constant fever pitch and they just assume you're with them because you work in the industry. I have to carefully curate my X and Youtube accounts to make sure I don't follow anyone they object to in case someone deep dives on me before hiring me for a project. It's exhausting sometimes.
