I expect he will end up at The Blaze, Daily Wire, OAN, or his own show (similar to Bongino).

He was the last excuse, for many, to watch FOX.

And a day or so after AOC blathering on about how Tucker needed to be restricted or silenced...

We are moving deeper into the era of American Pravda.

I'm wondering about Rice leaving the White House.

Are they finally preparing to burn Biden?

I think that Tucker is the smartest guy on cable news. He is relatively independent in his thinking and capable of well-reasoned arguments which, though I don't agree with them all, are always worth my time and consideration . I will miss him. Fox doesn't have anybody left of his intellectual caliber...except maybe Greg Gutfeld who's late night show is the only thing left on Fox worth watching.

I feel exactly the same way Sasha. There aren’t many voices I trust out there anymore and his was one I looked forward to hearing. I didn’t always agree with him either but I trusted him to give us the news. I think this will be the death of Fox. I hope to find him on Daily Wire as well. I was listening to Glenn Beck when the news came across and he said on air, Tucker if you are listening we have a place for you on The Blaze. I’m sure his voice will continue to be heard. I’m excited to see where that will be.

I also trust him very much and will follow him somewhere else, assuming he will not remain silent for long.

Too much now. Tucker and Lemon out. Susan Rice jumping ship and just heard DeSantis taking himself out of 2024. Personally glad , as a Floridian about DeSantis. Didn't want to lose him. Good riddance to Lemon. Tucker will lead back, like Sasha has, to actual journalism and commentary. Although I'm supporting Vivek I see RFKjr rising. Not a bad thing in my estimation. Maybe he can bring sanity back.

I just watched that on another platform. Given similar news today, I would rather be in Tucker Carlson's position as opposed to Don Lemon's. Carlson's next chapter will hopefully be his best chapter.

I'm sure others have already said, but I'll say it. Certainly not about salary. They know he's speaking too close to actual truth. He says out loud that we're in a spiritual war. And we are.

Goodbye Sullivan v. NYT. Fox lost when the judge decided that coverage of the vote irregularities was not "news" in the traditional sense of factual presentation. Thus opinion no longer enjoys the safe harbor of having a plaintiff show "actual malice" or "reckless disregard." That coupled with the target being not a public figure but a private enterprise and anything Fox allowed to air was libelous if untrue. Fox lost at summary judgement.

Kyle Rittenhouse is probably popping champagne corks as we speak. Without the two aforementioned safe harbor defenses, a whole bunch of news outlets are in deep trouble.

Interestingly, Clarence Thomas has long thought that reporters and media in general enjoy too much immunity from libel litigation. The Left may be sorry about this decision sooner than they think.

Like you, I will follow him when he resurfaces....Tucker speaks truth to power...I am guessing the military industrial complex and powers that be hated his constant questioning of the BILLIONS of dollars going to Ukraine - like why are we paying Ukrainian teachers' pensions? We are so in debt ourselves....Tucker was right to give voice to this....Europe has paid $18 BIllion or so and we an ocean away have paid about $100 Billion SO FAR - this is in Europe's backyard - why are we doing the heavy lifting?

Thank you, Sasha, for posting this video. What a wonderful speech. Fox has slit its own throat, and their viewer numbers will tank starting tonight, when folks tune in and realize he's gone. Tucker will pop up somewhere, and have even more influence. He will be free to say what he really thinks without worrying about Corporate hassling him. I'm looking forward to seeing where he lands.

Hi from Australia,

He was only show I watched on our service provider and due to time change was on in the mornings and worked my schedule around his time slot.

Will be missed and hope a bright future for him.

What a weird day. And it's funny that no one is talking about Don L the way they are about Tucker

Expand full comment

My guess? He's leaving voluntarily because Fox is limiting his ability to cover J6 issues and perhaps other issues, as well. Recall:

- Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy made a big deal about giving Tucker Carlson all the video evidence the J6 Committee had.

- Carlson and his team undertook to review that footage and released a controversial montage showing the Viking/horned J6 prisoner, ,Jacob Chansley, being escorted through the capitol by police, praying for them, or police utterly ignoring him. As part of that segment, he said there would be much more to come in future shows.

- The next day, Democrats blew up. Their carefully crafted J6 narrative was in jeopardy. Chuck Schumer in particular threatened Fox and McCarthy, calling on the former to prevent further "slanted" coverage, meaning they should prevent further coverage at all.

- After that, you heard virtually nothing about the J6 video evidence. There were small stories here and there, but no bombshells as on that first night. (I'm not the best source for this since I don't watch Fox News, but I saw no further revelations and I heard nothing further from the likes of Chuck Schumer after that first round.)

- Carlson seems to have become good friends with other excommunicated media personalities, such as Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi. Both of them could be expected to encourage him to leave if those in charge insist on censoring.

Tucker Carlson was the only reason I watched The Fox News Network. He's smart, intellectually honest, and has the courage to speak truth to power. It's a shame that the Murdoch's made the decision to take such an important voice out of millions of households. I hope they pay dearly for it!

Let’s face it, the far-left hates Tucker because he says what was not supposed to be said and he has a good time doing it.

You’re not supposed to do that these days because we lurch from one crisis to another, the contention is that we should all be miserable.

.

As George Orwell put it back when he wrote 1984:

“There will be no laughter, except the laugh of triumph over a defeated enemy.”

I distrust anything on TV now as a news source. "Brought to you by Pfizer." Fox News is controlled opposition just like the GOP in Washington.

Agree with you 100%. Fox News is Tucker. Bashed the left, bashed the right, no favorites just the truth. I pray he lands somewhere soon because America needs his voice and perspective.

Best guesses: 1. Plan to tell the truth about Ray Epps’s FBI links to counter 60 Minutes 2. Plan to tell his side of the Dominion story 3. Giving voice to RFK accusations against big Pharma’s kill shot or 4. Some combination of the above, including perhaps a long-standing offer by big Pharma and friends to do a lot of sponsoring on Fox to help the Murdochs pay Tucker’s severance.

I turned Fox off about four years ago when Murdoch's kids - more likely their activist wives - started kowtowing to the Left. The world will be better off with Tucker on his own like Megyn Kelly and Bongino. I wonder when the best and hilarious night show - Gutfeld - will be neutered...

Tucker was considered the furthest right media personality that was allowed on air. That being said, he:

1. Forced his head writer to resign for offering slightly offensive views the day after he did a segment on not caving into woke mobs.

2. During the 2020 election results controversy, Tucker was told not to say anything about it by his employer and he kept quiet, publicly arguing the election was legitimate.  In this way he massively helped the establishment even as he railed against it on a day to day basis.

3. Tucker is also close friends with Hunter Biden.

4. He may be a CIA asset.

5. Leaked texts also show Tucker writing “I hate [Trump] passionately.”

In plain terms, Tucker, Fox News, the NY Post, and other mainstream right-wing publications build up trust among the masses in normal times in order to cash in that trust against them at key points, undermining the people that trusted them in order to help globohomo.

I guess it’s bad overall that he’s gone, because he did promote a quasi-populist message at times, but at least now the masses can see Fox for what it’s always been: a globohomo establishment led by far-leftist executives (both Murdoch sons are far-leftists).

Yes Sasha, I absolutely agree! Tucker brought us a sense of the moral and ethical dearth destroying our society today...along with the hope that all is not lost. I feel certain he will land somewhere good and take his multitude with him...it will be Fox’s loss along with ours.

As much as I’ve counted on Tucker to bring some sanity to our daily lives, I’ve come to count on others like Glenn Greenwald, Chris Bray, and a certain heretofore unknown (to me). Ms S. Stone! Keep it up, kiddo!

I pretty much agreed with every position he took on things, but imho, his theatrics and forced laugh was annoying. I seldom watched him, but most my news inputs are from Twitter or Substack anymore with a few podcasts.

I'm sure Pharma welcomed this as he relentlessly attacked them. In fact they ,may have had something to do with it.

He'll be fine and will probably enjoy more income and greater influence by moving out of the dying corporate media world.

I think this will end up being a hugely consequential decision for FOX and not for the good. For Tucker, on the other hand, it will mean no more muzzle and lots more cash. Independent journalism is where real news is found today!

The remarks in the video Tucker Carlson Keynote Address at Heritage 50th Anniversary Celebration highlight the fact that things are quickly moving into focus. It is now becoming clear that this is a conflict between polar opposites.

We have the opposites of Good and Evil with the good characterized by order, calmness tranquility, peace, Lack of conflict, cleanliness, and by extension, you should add, common sense civil rights, individual liberty, and limited government.

Evil is characterized by its opposites, violence, hate, disorder, division, disorganization, and filth.

So, if you’re advocating that latter group of outcomes, along with control, unlimited government, and the destruction of civil rights, you’re advocating evil.

This is welcome news. Untethered to Fox News, Tucker can tell much, much more about the truth of what is actually happening around the world right now, than he ever could have at the ethically compromised Fox News.

On a side note: Fox News initiated the massive theft of the 2020 election, with their intentionally ill-timed, early call for AZ and their complete silence on how quickly Florida should have been called for 45. They also suppressed any efforts to investigate and discuss the blatant election theft after it was stolen by a variety of means. They are still censoring. They apparently threatened Tucker Carlson during his 2-night episodes exposing the truth about J6, so that the videos meant to be shown on the second night were nixed. They will never be what they once were, and the sooner people see that they are now only controlled opposition, the better. We need truth now more than at any time in our history, as we are subject to 5GW on a daily basis. #FOXIT!

I think Tucker is important and brings important things to the table.

But I don't have anything like the same level of trust that I'm seeing expressed here, by Sasha (whose character I do trust) and so many others.

In fact, to be direct, I don't trust Tucker, even if I do appreciate his input.

I'd be happy to hear why others do, after everything?

There's so much talk of him landing at Dailywire - talk about completely changing the game if that happens!

Sad day for FOX though. What on Earth were they thinking? If they've gone left they'll just shift into the overwhelmingly oversaturated amount of left of center news out there and cease to be successful. And large swaths of comments of people unsubscribing! It's as disastrous a decision as the Mulvaney and Budlight partnership. Makes no sense.

Tucker is the only reason I watch Fox News. I like Greg Gutfeld and occasionally watch The Five, but no more. Fox's inferiority complex made them susceptible to MSM Mean Girl tactics. Congratulations, Paul Ryan!!

I just canceled Fox Nation and will also drop Direct TV if they don't have a decent option WITHOUT Fox News.

I watched Tucker for his thoughtful commentary. I sometimes didn't agree but I nearly always learned something. This is exactly the choice that we should have - to be provoked to think -instead of being fed the mindless drivel that comes out a meat grinder and is fed to all channels to "appease the masses." I read the daily from my local Axios and scold them for their biased views. They tell me they need to consider their audience, never understanding the absurdity that I am also their audience. I watched "The Five" tonight for news of Tucker. Greg Gutfeld slyly mentioned the vacancy. It's obvious that they are told not to talk about it. I expect Tucker will land on his feet. I'm not so sure about Fox.

I haven't had cable for years and haven't watched him. (There's plenty out there on streaming channels.) I suspect Murdoch fired him, probably to accommodate Democrats in Congress. FOX has been moving further and further to the left ever since Murdoch's kids took over the network. They're headed toward becoming another MSNBC.

Tucker Carlson doesn't need fox but the People need Tucker. I remember when Elvis died and held the headlines in the press for 3 full days. Today our press is pretty much owned by the democrat party so stats like popularity will be different. FOX got rid of two 5***** guys in less than a full week. I watched Dan Bongino all the time too. Neither would fit in with todays fake news media that doesn't report the real news. Tucker and Dan will do fine. FOX could be in big trouble. Look for FOX to put Karl Rove in Tuckers spot and Geraldo in Dan's spot. I don't feel sorry for FOX.

Many times over the past couple of years, I turned to my husband and said that they will get Tucker off the air at Fox. That it's only a matter of time. Not because Tucker's show is bad, but because of the way that Tucker challenges power and the elites. I can't think of anyone else who does it like he does. All of the media are servants of the Democrat/Uniparty and the Security State at this point. My guess #1 is his stance on Ukraine, #2 his talk about Joe Biden being a pedophile/showering with his daughter (being very outspoken about that), is my guess, but who knows what it could be.

I don't watch Fox News, only Tucker and Laura but I'll catch Laura on YouTube from now on. Once I finish watching Tucker's programs on Fox Nation, I'm cancelling my subscription.

To me, Fox is really like the rest of MSM. I think of it as one mouth. Some talk comes out of the right side of the mouth, some from the left side of the mouth, but it's all the same mouth.

The collapse of mainstream media 🤩! All of it! We need to be celebrating Tuckers departure rather than bashing Fox 🥳! He’s been released to speak freely on whatever new platform he chooses, maybe Rumble, Locals, Daily Wire, etc. Alternative media is where the truth lives unencumbered by politics, wokeness and censorship and it’s where most informed people are getting their information from these days anyway. I’m personally super excited to watch the MSM go up in flames 🔥!

The speech Tucker gave was amazing. He’ll find an audience no matter where he lands.

I stopped watching him months ago based on is irrational and dishonest hostility to Ukraine's desire to have their own nation again after two centuries of Russian tyrrany. Tucker appears to resent that they do not want to form the base of a reconstituted Russian Empire in Europe. Too many outright lies, the latest being "US soldiers are engaging in direct hostilities!" Utter nonsense, system-training missions are not pulling triggers. But nothing was too low for him to use to beat up the Ukrainian cause. It became nutty, and then repulsive as he crowed at every hint of Russian success. I put it down to a level of partisanship that drove him over the edge - call it "Biden Derangement Syndrome" if you like. If Biden supports it, it must be evil. It often is, but this is not one of those times.

On other issues, he was an important voice, but I came to distrust him so much because of his outright lies on the one issue that I gave up on trusting him on anything. False in part, false in whole, as the jury instruction goes.
