Can’t wait for Tucker to be interviewed on why he and Fox parted ways, and very interested to hear his voice outside of MSM

Am guessing that to receive a large severance package, Tucker has signed a gag order. He won't be talking about the Fox separation except in very nebulous terms.

They fired Tucker. He comes from money. Those contracts don’t work like normal ones. Megyn Kelly was really interesting today. I’m also reading BlackRock now has a 15% stake in Fox (I hope the stock crashes)

I expect he will end up at The Blaze, Daily Wire, OAN, or his own show (similar to Bongino).

He was the last excuse, for many, to watch FOX.

And a day or so after AOC blathering on about how Tucker needed to be restricted or silenced...

We are moving deeper into the era of American Pravda.

I'm wondering about Rice leaving the White House.

Are they finally preparing to burn Biden?

I think that Tucker is the smartest guy on cable news. He is relatively independent in his thinking and capable of well-reasoned arguments which, though I don't agree with them all, are always worth my time and consideration . I will miss him. Fox doesn't have anybody left of his intellectual caliber...except maybe Greg Gutfeld who's late night show is the only thing left on Fox worth watching.

Expand full comment

I feel exactly the same way Sasha. There aren’t many voices I trust out there anymore and his was one I looked forward to hearing. I didn’t always agree with him either but I trusted him to give us the news. I think this will be the death of Fox. I hope to find him on Daily Wire as well. I was listening to Glenn Beck when the news came across and he said on air, Tucker if you are listening we have a place for you on The Blaze. I’m sure his voice will continue to be heard. I’m excited to see where that will be.

Too much now. Tucker and Lemon out. Susan Rice jumping ship and just heard DeSantis taking himself out of 2024. Personally glad , as a Floridian about DeSantis. Didn't want to lose him. Good riddance to Lemon. Tucker will lead back, like Sasha has, to actual journalism and commentary. Although I'm supporting Vivek I see RFKjr rising. Not a bad thing in my estimation. Maybe he can bring sanity back.

With all due respect, he never put himself “in.” The media was salivating over ANYBODY but Trump. I love that DeSantis never corrected it & scored big media for it. Person never thought he’d resign to run in 2024...he’d be tough to beat in 2028 though!

Expand full comment

Odd. I just saw my first DeSantis for President TV spot today.

Expand full comment

Trumps smear machine has been out in force for the last few weeks, including stories about how he was a jerk as a congressman.

If DeSantis really is out, that is probably a smart move for him. Unless Trump screws up so bad he damages the Republican party - which is entirely possible.

I like what I've seen from Vivek so far, and I think he's one of the very few people who can match Trump insult for insult, but do it better than Trump. And you watch - Trump will make a comment about his ethnicity that will get him in trouble.

Expand full comment

Reporting talk from Pinellas county Republicans. Don't know if true but wouldn't be surprised. DeSantis loves Florida. Tough for him to leave.

I'm from Queens myself and personally like and understand Trump but he was not an effective president. Can't keep his mouth shut and he is a poor judge of character and cannot deal with bureaucrats or complexity of people and issues.

Biden is morally corrupt. He is detestable and we are suffering his massive ego.

I'm an old man. I think Biden and Trump should be playing with their grandchildren at this point. That goes for Clinton and the rest of them as well.

I like Vivek as I agree with his positions. If DeSantis leaves he grows more viable. I disagree with RFK on a lot of things but he may be the person that can lead this country out of the political prison the MIC, Woke warriors and financial elitists have constructed for us. I'm willing to sacrifice a lot for that endeavor.

Expand full comment

Trump as POTUS can be described in four words: great policies, poor leadership.

If DeSantis drops out I think it will be because he knows his candidacy will destroy the Republican party. Trump knows that too, but his ego won't let him make a similar decision. I know this sounds bad, but I'd like to see Trump elected in 2024 and then promptly be impeached by the House and removed by the Senate. This time, I think they'll get the votes they need in the Senate. It depends on his VP pick, and anyone like Pence would be really bad.

It isn’t solely about age. He is well known and well regarded now. He will be out of office and doing what? Who will remember him? Oh yeah, wasn’t he that governor of some state who did something crazy or something during covid? His most optimum time to run is now. Also, corporate media is ginning up the “ too old”( another form of discrimination) theme to use against both Biden and Trump. DeSantis could use that very effectively.

All the things about which Trump posed a threat to democracy never happened. But they are all happening under Biden. There is ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT which party is the threat to democracy. None at all, and there is not even a lightly reasonable refutation of that.

Goodbye Sullivan v. NYT. Fox lost when the judge decided that coverage of the vote irregularities was not "news" in the traditional sense of factual presentation. Thus opinion no longer enjoys the safe harbor of having a plaintiff show "actual malice" or "reckless disregard." That coupled with the target being not a public figure but a private enterprise and anything Fox allowed to air was libelous if untrue. Fox lost at summary judgement.

Kyle Rittenhouse is probably popping champagne corks as we speak. Without the two aforementioned safe harbor defenses, a whole bunch of news outlets are in deep trouble.

Interestingly, Clarence Thomas has long thought that reporters and media in general enjoy too much immunity from libel litigation. The Left may be sorry about this decision sooner than they think.

Expand full comment

We'll see if anyone on the right is willing to go after the lying left wing media...I won't hold my breath...

Expand full comment

One thing that bugs me about the judge's opinion - I thought the jury was supposed to decide matters of fact, not the judge. If the judge stepped in where he shouldn't have that is a problem. Now, will they apply the same standards to liberal news sites - almost certainly not. Two tiers...

Tucker was the only big name on Fox demanding evidence and pushing back on Sydney Powell (who he never let on his show). Though I agree the Dominion settlement will likely view the left, Tucker wasn’t the one pushing the Dominion stuff at all. Based on Megyn Kelly, that was the judge and Hannity and some others (I only ever watched Tucker on Fox do I know he wasn’t on the hook for Dominion stuff, but I have to trust Kelly in who was).

Expand full comment

If this is about the Dominion case, it's odd that Tucker was the only one to pull back and correct by revealing that Sydney Powell did not in fact have any proof of her allegations, or at least wouldn't provide any proof. He's the only one of the evening hosts who acted as a journalist in that case.

Sullivan does need to be reined in, though I'm not sure the trial judge's ruling would have been upheld on appeal.

Like you, I will follow him when he resurfaces....Tucker speaks truth to power...I am guessing the military industrial complex and powers that be hated his constant questioning of the BILLIONS of dollars going to Ukraine - like why are we paying Ukrainian teachers' pensions? I have never heard anything about an ABC Radio interview. All I ever heard was about the Dominion lawsuit. From his TV program, however, you never knew how he felt about Trump nor did he ever say Biden didn't win. Nothing I heard coming out of the lawsuit suggests Carlson lied.

As for the rest of your verbal vomit, what's sad is that someone like you has nothing better to do than run around a Substack where people are trying to have honest conversations and just be an all around jackass.

Not even the left were actually big fans of Don Lemon. He didn't have the viewership or the devotees that Tucker had.

Expand full comment

Maybe because Tucker has some substance and actual thoughts. Lemon was eye candy for the boys.

Expand full comment

My guess? He's leaving voluntarily because Fox is limiting his ability to cover J6 issues and perhaps other issues, as well. Recall:

- Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy made a big deal about giving Tucker Carlson all the video evidence the J6 Committee had.

- Carlson and his team undertook to review that footage and released a controversial montage showing the Viking/horned J6 prisoner, ,Jacob Chansley, being escorted through the capitol by police, praying for them, or police utterly ignoring him. As part of that segment, he said there would be much more to come in future shows.

- The next day, Democrats blew up. Their carefully crafted J6 narrative was in jeopardy. Chuck Schumer in particular threatened Fox and McCarthy, calling on the former to prevent further "slanted" coverage, meaning they should prevent further coverage at all.

- After that, you heard virtually nothing about the J6 video evidence. There were small stories here and there, but no bombshells as on that first night. (I'm not the best source for this since I don't watch Fox News, but I saw no further revelations and I heard nothing further from the likes of Chuck Schumer after that first round.)

- Carlson seems to have become good friends with other excommunicated media personalities, such as Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi. Both of them could be expected to encourage him to leave if those in charge insist on censoring.

Expand full comment

Yes I wondered the same thing about his brief J6 reporting. Was the definition of a “limited hangout”. I wondered if it was Tuckers choice to not expand on the footage or the network’s, but I’m guessing it was the latter. Hopefully he lands on his feet in a place where he won’t be limited and we’ll get Tucker “with the gloves off”.

Tucker was considered the furthest right media personality that was allowed on air. That being said, he:

1. Forced his head writer to resign for offering slightly offensive views the day after he did a segment on not caving into woke mobs.

2. During the 2020 election results controversy, Tucker was told not to say anything about it by his employer and he kept quiet, publicly arguing the election was legitimate.  In this way he massively helped the establishment even as he railed against it on a day to day basis.

3. Tucker is also close friends with Hunter Biden.

4. He may be a CIA asset.

5. Leaked texts also show Tucker writing “I hate [Trump] passionately.”

In plain terms, Tucker, Fox News, the NY Post, and other mainstream right-wing publications build up trust among the masses in normal times in order to cash in that trust against them at key points, undermining the people that trusted them in order to help globohomo.

I guess it’s bad overall that he’s gone, because he did promote a quasi-populist message at times, but at least now the masses can see Fox for what it’s always been: a globohomo establishment led by far-leftist executives (both Murdoch sons are far-leftists).

I have been an attorney for 28 years. You clearly have no idea how voluminous evidence is. Reams and reams of documentary evidence, witness testimony encapsulated in hours and hours of videotapes, audiotapes, and volumes of transcripts, etc. Trials take days, weeks, months, years. Evidence fills ROOMS. To think evidence for complex litigation of this sort - election interference on a grand scale in multiple targeted locations - could be presented on screen on a one hour television show - is the most preposterous thing I have heard in a while. So just sit this one out, and take your “blindly defending MAGA” sophomoric drivel elsewhere.

The remarks in the video Tucker Carlson Keynote Address at Heritage 50th Anniversary Celebration highlight the fact that things are quickly moving into focus. It is now becoming clear that this is a conflict between polar opposites.

We have the opposites of Good and Evil with the good characterized by order, calmness tranquility, peace, Lack of conflict, cleanliness, and by extension, you should add, common sense civil rights, individual liberty, and limited government.

Evil is characterized by its opposites, violence, hate, disorder, division, disorganization, and filth.

So, if you’re advocating that latter group of outcomes, along with control, unlimited government, and the destruction of civil rights, you’re advocating evil.

Expand full comment

This is welcome news. Untethered to Fox News, Tucker can tell much, much more about the truth of what is actually happening around the world right now, than he ever could have at the ethically compromised Fox News.

On a side note: Fox News initiated the massive theft of the 2020 election, with their intentionally ill-timed, early call for AZ and their complete silence on how quickly Florida should have been called for 45. They also suppressed any efforts to investigate and discuss the blatant election theft after it was stolen by a variety of means. They are still censoring. They apparently threatened Tucker Carlson during his 2-night episodes exposing the truth about J6, so that the videos meant to be shown on the second night were nixed. They will never be what they once were, and the sooner people see that they are now only controlled opposition, the better. We need truth now more than at any time in our history, as we are subject to 5GW on a daily basis. #FOXIT!

I think the romantic touches like them meeting amongst the flypaper floating from the ceiling will stay with me forever. I tried to leave a 5 star review on Amazon but found Amazon suspended my ability to review because I had been putting “Let’s Go Brandon” in a lot of my reviews as a a joke about Biden So, thank-you for sharing your story of that wonderful time and place and know that my family and I are enjoying your book. Thank-you, Major.

Thank you! I laughed about your attempt to leave a review. Just knowing the reason is worth more to me than the rating. Ha! Some folks certainly don't like our exercising our first amendment rights. Some little twerp probably had great fun denying you. Feather merchants! What ya gonna do? The book gets a bit repetitive in the middle, but it picks up again around page 115 and the following section "Bone Digging Days" focuses on my involvement and finishes up the book. Best wishes, Raleigh

I haven't had cable for years and haven't watched him. (There's plenty out there on streaming channels.) I suspect Murdoch fired him, probably to accommodate Democrats in Congress. FOX has been moving further and further to the left ever since Murdoch's kids took over the network. They're headed toward becoming another MSNBC.

I am glad that I no longer have to pay Fox or a sketchy YouTuber in order to watch Tucker every night.

I'm hoping he finds a home on Newsmax.

RIP Fox ratings

Tucker Carlson doesn't need fox but the People need Tucker. I remember when Elvis died and held the headlines in the press for 3 full days. Today our press is pretty much owned by the democrat party so stats like popularity will be different. FOX got rid of two 5***** guys in less than a full week. I watched Dan Bongino all the time too. Neither would fit in with todays fake news media that doesn't report the real news. Tucker and Dan will do fine. FOX could be in big trouble. Look for FOX to put Karl Rove in Tuckers spot and Geraldo in Dan's spot. I don't feel sorry for FOX.

Agree with everything except “Elvis died”.

What about Elvis holding the headlines for 3 days that you don't agree with?

That you implied Elvis was no longer alive. :D

OK You got me on that one. I went into the Military before he did. He got out before I did. My brand new bride and I went to Elivis first movie after he got out, on Christmas day 1960.

Thanks for your service, Michael. I was in also. We were fortunate to have had awesome music when we grew up.

Many times over the past couple of years, I turned to my husband and said that they will get Tucker off the air at Fox. That it's only a matter of time. Not because Tucker's show is bad, but because of the way that Tucker challenges power and the elites. I can't think of anyone else who does it like he does. All of the media are servants of the Democrat/Uniparty and the Security State at this point. My guess #1 is his stance on Ukraine, #2 his talk about Joe Biden being a pedophile/showering with his daughter (being very outspoken about that), is my guess, but who knows what it could be.

I don't watch Fox News, only Tucker and Laura but I'll catch Laura on YouTube from now on. Once I finish watching Tucker's programs on Fox Nation, I'm cancelling my subscription.

To me, Fox is really like the rest of MSM. I think of it as one mouth. Some talk comes out of the right side of the mouth, some from the left side of the mouth, but it's all the same mouth.

The collapse of mainstream media 🤩! All of it! We need to be celebrating Tuckers departure rather than bashing Fox 🥳! He’s been released to speak freely on whatever new platform he chooses, maybe Rumble, Locals, Daily Wire, etc. Alternative media is where the truth lives unencumbered by politics, wokeness and censorship and it’s where most informed people are getting their information from these days anyway. I’m personally super excited to watch the MSM go up in flames 🔥!

I gave up on Fox long before it was cool, but I’d still watch Tucker’s monologues on YouTube from time to time.

I’m thrilled anytime I see people decide to stop watching it. Fox has been awful for a long time. Pre-2020 it was bad too.

The speech Tucker gave was amazing. He’ll find an audience no matter where he lands.

My guess is that Pfizer, which spent $2.8 Thousand Million on advertising last year objected to Carlsons growing respect and friendship with RFK Jr, theyre greatest nemesis and laid that on the line with Rupert!

Great clip!! He’s a unique speaker and thinker and I know he will have even better opportunities ahead. I went to TuckerCarlson.com and signed up to be notified about where to find him going forward.

I hope he goes in to politics but he's probably too smart. We talk about him as though he isn't worth nearly half a billion dollars. Of COURSE he'll "be okay." Get real.

I stopped watching him months ago based on is irrational and dishonest hostility to Ukraine's desire to have their own nation again after two centuries of Russian tyrrany. Tucker appears to resent that they do not want to form the base of a reconstituted Russian Empire in Europe. Too many outright lies, the latest being "US soldiers are engaging in direct hostilities!" Utter nonsense, system-training missions are not pulling triggers. But nothing was too low for him to use to beat up the Ukrainian cause. It became nutty, and then repulsive as he crowed at every hint of Russian success. I put it down to a level of partisanship that drove him over the edge - call it "Biden Derangement Syndrome" if you like. If Biden supports it, it must be evil. It often is, but this is not one of those times.

On other issues, he was an important voice, but I came to distrust him so much because of his outright lies on the one issue that I gave up on trusting him on anything. False in part, false in whole, as the jury instruction goes.

I respect your position on Ukraine however, as a Vietnam veteran who has 12 friends listed on the very last panel of the Memorial on the National Mall, (it's chronological) I am reluctant to sign onto anything that is not supported by a majority of our citizens, that has never-ending funds for the giant military industrial complex and has no exit strategy. I have no animus toward Ukraine and no love for Russia, but we are funding far more than our share and as a nuclear power in opposition to a nuclear power, it's extremely dangerous. Before my Vietnam service I was certified to carry two nuclear weapons on an F-4E Phantom fighter on a low-level dash from Germany into the Soviet Union to level two cities. I don't wish to get back into a Cold War mindset that risks the end of civilization.

One thing I forgot to mention: The Constitution grants Congress the SOLE power to declare war. A debate in Congress and a vote keeps passions of the moment from overtaking us or having war declared by Presidential Executive Order.

Carlson opposed US involvement in the Ukraine and advised against sending our money and men. The war monger NEOCONS of the GOP RINOS and Democratic Party hate him for that. Finally, as a military veteran like Major Emry, I take any suggestions to send our young men in to combat, personally. I truly wish that those who haven’t served would be more circumspect.

I’m really on the fence with this issue. I support Ukraine in this battle but I heard that Zelensky made the comment that it’s dangerous for anyone to question their efforts (I’m paraphrasing and did not hear this myself) but that one thing has given me pause. That said, I sincerely thank you for your service.

Guys here on this Substack like Old Breed and Raleigh Emry, who are articulate about the risks of wars, give me hope that we can avoid engaging in what for America would be yet another unjust war.

Tucker was absolutely correct in questioning the American $$$$ that was and is being sent to the Ukraine- like why are we paying Ukrainian pensions? We can’t even take care of our own and are TRILLIONS in debt.

Me too. Ukraine was one of the very few issues I could not agree with Tucker.

Like a lot of other commenters, Tucker was about the only thing I watched. Didn't always agree with him but his was about the only independent voice left on television. I was expecting him to leave at some point but am a bit surprised about the timing. I'm sure he had plans on what he was going to do after his firing so I'll follow him on his next venture.
