“While it’s true that Trump supporters aren’t being lynched or sent off to concentration camps,… “. Just one correction to your statement, my dear…they actually ARE locking up Trump supporters. Look at the J6ers…some still in jail in the worst conditions, some still not charged and the ones that are charged, are charged with misdemeanors. Imagine, serving 3 years in prison for a misdemeanor. This is a tyrannical government and it’s going to get worse, mark my words!

Plus poor Ashli Babbitt was murdered at the rally for attempting to climb through a door window which had been broken by “rioters” (FBI plants in the crowd) while 3 Capitol cops stood there and watched and did nothing to stop it or stop Ashli from trying to go through. Ms. Babbitt was among a mob of people that entered the Capitol building and gained access to a hallway outside “Speaker’s Lobby,” which leads to the Chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives. At the time, the USCP was evacuating Members from the Chamber, which the mob was trying to enter from multiple doorways. USCP officers used furniture to barricade a set of glass doors separating the hallway and Speaker’s Lobby to try and stop the from MOB entering the Speaker’s Lobby and the Chamber, and three officers positioned themselves between the doors and the mob. Members of the mob attempted to break through the doors by striking them and breaking the glass with their hands, flagpoles, helmets, and other objects. Eventually, the three USCP officers positioned outside the doors were forced to EVACUATE. As members of the mob continued to strike the glass doors, Ms. Babbitt attempted to climb through one of the doors where glass was broken out. She would have unlocked the door, giving the mob access to the lawmakers in the House Chamber.

Ms. Babbitt did not gain access to anything - she was shot before she made it through the window and inside the Capitol. And contrary to your assertion (WHERE do you people GET this stuff??), she was not the magic person about to "unlock the door". Many of the MOB were already inside the building and in closer proximity to the officer who shot her, and she was ZERO threat to him. If the MOB was so threatening, why didn't the officer shoot someone who was actually INSIDE the Capitol building?? Waiting.......... run to MSNBC and you can find SOMETHING in response that can at least fool a few liberals.

She was in the process of climbing through the broken window of the door from the hall with the mob so she could unlock the door and let the mob into the Lobby of the House Chamber. She didn't suceed because she was shot. If she had, it would have been the the 1 police officer facing the mob.

Mmmmm....I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet. The first part, yes, there were certainly terrified lawmakers in the House Chamber from what I've seen from the videos.

The buzz in the crowd was to stop the counting. We knew there was a plan to stop the counting by lawful, Constitutional methods by one Senator and One Rep objecting and that was in process. That's what the vast majority of rally attendees were talking about, well before the rally and during the rally. That's what we were there for...lawful, peaceful objection, not even civil disobedience because there was a lawful path to follow. That lawful path is what was disrupted. Who wanted that lawful path disrupted is the question, in my opinion.

Disrupting that path would disrupt an examination of the evidence that the nation wide mail balloting directed by the CDC produced a fraudulent result.

Once those objections were lodged, Congress would adjourn, debate the merits of the objections, hold a vote in their respective chambers and proceed based on the results of that vote.

But, there was an element that apparently wanted to stop the counting by disruption, or by calling Pence on his cell, but there were no weapons or guns found on Babbitt or any one I've heard of who has been arrested and charged with insurrection.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have not heard of anyone having guns and weapons, which leads me to believe they wanted to disrupt the counting by civil disobedience.

Expand full comment

I'm not condoning Babbitt's behavior, quite the opposite. Her actions, along with everyone exhibiting violence that day should have been arrested and charged with the appropriate crime. There may have well been people wanting an insurrection, but they would be in a tiny, tiny, radical minority and may very well be part of the paid, I'll call Antifa elements there that day. And there were those elements present bring the shadow of any doubt.

To answer your question about guns -The people who gathered for the “Stop the Steal” speech mostly did not have guns because they had to go through metal detectors to get into the area where Trump was speaking but instead brought clubs, bats, bear spray, etc. Also, I have only heard of the people who have been identified through videos of Jan 6 as being Trump supporters, NOT Antifa.

I found a couple articles detailing people who did bring guns to the Capitol or grounds on Jan 6.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/trump-supporter-charged-firing-gun-jan-6-capitol-attack-rcna142538

https://www.statesman.com/story/news/politics/politifact/2022/06/15/fact-check-were-firearms-other-weapons-capitol-jan-6/7621149001/

You claim there was nationwide mail-in balloting directed by the CDC . Actually, on Nov 1, 2020, the CDC posted on their website: “Voters have the right to vote, regardless of whether they are sick or in quarantine.” Under federal law, turning someone away from a polling site is considered illegal and an act of voter intimidation.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/11/03/cdc-covid-19-vote-election/

The states decided if there would be mail-in voting, not the CDC. My state of Oregon has had ONLY mail-in voting for 20+ years and I have never heard any candidate complain about unreliable results. Dinesh D’Souza made a movie “2000 Mules” about mail-in voting which was debunked.

You claim there was a plan to “stop the counting by lawful, Constitutional methods by one Senator and One Rep objecting that was in process.” I think the only people who claimed there was a constitutional way of stopping the certification of the election after the results had been certified by each state were Trump’s lawyers. Pence’s duty was to carry out the CEREMONIAL duty of certifying the election.

Are you implying that the protesters who were there for “lawful, peaceful objection” in hopes that a “lawful path” for overturning the election would be found were only planning to protest outside the Capitol and not storm it like hundreds of people did? Actually, that was not legal because the pro-Trump group organizing rally the on Jan 6, the “Women For America First” (WFAF) did not obtain a permit from the NPS ( responsible for safety & security) for a march to the Capitol.

You ask. “Who wanted that lawful path disrupted is the question? There has been extensive investigation into groups who wanted to create chaos and overturn the election as we saw on live TV.

After Trump lost the 2020 election but BEFORE JAN 6, multiple individuals plotted to use force to stop the peaceful transition of power. Among many tweets promoting the event, Trump issued one on Dec 19, 2020, saying, “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!” This incited member of groups such as Oath Keeper, Kelly Megs, to write in a message to other members, “He wants us to make it WILD. He called us all to the Capitol and wants us to make it wild!!! Sir Yes Sir!!!”

Jan. 6 wasn’t just any rally; it was the BIG DAY when Trump was going to overturn the election possibly by pressuring Pence to refuse to carry out his ceremonial duty of certifying the results. Trump also sent “fake electors” to DC, and several Republicans vowed to vote against certifying the election. This was an opportunity for Trump’s most rabid fans who were outraged by the “stolen election” to assemble from all over the country to cheer Trump on as he ranted about his grievances and find out how he would prevent Biden from taking office. I believe these people who were encouraged by Trump to “be wild” would have been dangerous if they had gotten their hands on lawmakers.

One of the plots planned ahead of time involved the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. On Nov. 5, 2020, two days after the election, Oath Keeper leaders began using encrypted messages to communicate about a "civil war". Chairman Stewart Rhodes joined a Roger Stone text chat group asking "What’s the plan?, held an online members-only video conference in which Rhodes outlined a plan to stop transfer of power using force, planned to store "an arsenal" with a "Quick Reaction Force" (QRF) in nearby Alexandria, VA.

On Jan 5, leaders began unloading weapons to the "QRF" in Alexandria then drove into D.C. on a "reconnaissance mission" before returning to their hotel in VA. That night, Stewart Rhodes participated in an underground parking garage meeting with Proud Boys, including leader Enrique Tarrio. On January 6, Oath Keepers clad in reinforced vests marched to the Capitol in two tactical formations known as "stacks", where they led the attack.

On Dec. 20, the Proud Boys leadership formed a special handpicked group of Proud Boys leaders who communicated through an encrypted messaging group & announced plans to be "incognito" on Jan. 6, not wearing traditional black and yellow garb. On Jan 3, Proud Boys leadership explicitly discussed attacking the Capitol. On Jan 4, Tarrio notified other leaders that a warrant had been signed for his arrest in connection to a stolen and burned BLM banner. Tarrio was arrested by D.C. police, who discovered he possessed illegal high-capacity magazines. On Jan 5, he was released and ordered to leave DC but participated in the Jan 5 parking garage meeting first where leaders divided members into teams, passed out radios programmed to specific channels. Orders were issued to assemble at 10 a.m. at the Washington Monument. On Jan 6, about 100 plainclothes Proud Boys assembled at the Washington Monument and marched to the Capitol to participate in the attack.

Why didn’t Oath Keepers have their guns brought to them from their arsenal? The Capitol was first breached at 2:09 pm and Babbitt was shot soon after at 2:44 pm. Could it be that they were suddenly concerned that they might actually get shot? Trump’s thugs and Qanon wackos were wearing hate group insignia and a “Camp Aushchwitz” t-shirt, carrying Confederate flags, building nooses, screaming, “Hang Mike Pence. Get Nancy!”, breaking things, attacking Capitol Police officers, all live on TV!

On Nov 6, 2022, Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes along with FL chapter leader Kelly Megg were convicted of seditious for plotting the violent attack on the Capitol. On May 4, 2023, Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio, was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.

What was Ashli Babbitt doing in that stairwell and why was she crawling through a broken window to get into the Capitol? What was her purpose? Was she sightseeing, but decided to crawl through a window instead of using the front door? Was she going to the bathroom? Was she going to the gift shop to make a purchase? Did she have an appointment with someone? Was she going to get into the House chamber and attack somebody? Shoot somebody? Do whatever it takes to stop the proceedings?

Did that cop wake up that morning thinking he would be confronted with someone crawling through a window into the building he is sworn to defend? Did he have any time to consider what she was doing? Did he wonder was she armed? What was going through his mind as he watched the chaos going on in the stairwell and Ms. Babbitt coming out of it?

Why was Byrd cleared, praised as a hero and promoted to captain after flat out refusing to answer any questions about what happened? Because the democrats had already decided Ashli was a “domestic terrorist” intent on murder and needed to be put down asap. Why? Because she was white which meant she was racist, working class which meant she was too stupid to be ashamed of herself for being white and because she was a Trump supporter which meant she belonged to a dangerous cult. She checked all their boxes for being white trash that needed to be shot.

“Byrd then answered a series of questions by Holt about the shooting, but what he told the friendly journalist, he likely never told investigators. That’s because he refused to answer their questions, according to several sources and documents reviewed by RealClearInvestigations.”

Thank you for your detailed reply, but what was Ashli Babbitt doing crawling through that window like that? What was her intent? I've listened to her husband several times, I've listened to other people who went in and no one has said why they went into the Capitol during the counting of the votes, except some said they were invited in by Capitol Police. I was outside, could have but did not go in because I did not want to do anything do disrupt that session. Those who entered the building disrupted the counting and caused the House chamber to be evacuated.

Was that her intent? Was that their intent, to disrupt the counting?

Is the Capitol a place of public gathering, like the other public places on the National Mall?

During the Columbus Day 2012 government shut down protests, Obama barricaded the WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, White House and they were forcibly opened by invoking the First Amendment right to peaceful assembly. It was a fascinating experience to see our Bill of Rights being applied. The Capitol Police would literally go from arresting you for trespassing to withdrawing and leaving you alone if you uttered the magic words: "I am here to exercise my Constitutional Rights of Free Assembly.". I’ve seen video of the QAnon Shaman being escorted around the Capitol by cops. He didn’t look like he was a deranged terrorist intent on murder. What was his intent? Maybe he just wanted to see the inside of a historic building which he believed belonged to the American people. Shame on him for being so naive. That cost him 3 years in prison. What was Ashli’s intent? Most likely she didn’t have an intent and was just caught up in the chaos and made a mistake which cost her life. I do not feel she deserved to die that day. Ashli’s murder is one of the many reasons why I believe this rotting society no longer exists as a country and is disintegrating.

I agree the cop overreacted. Many do in the heat of the moment. Should she have been shot in the throat for what she did? Definitely not. But, does that make the cop a cold blooded killer? No as well.

It was a chaotic, violent day by some, it was a peaceful day for others. I was there and I can tell you got to choose what you did that day and you are accountable both ways. I for damn sure would not have been crawling through a broken window in the US Capitol on a day intended for the peaceful transfer of power in the most powerful country in the world. The crowd should have stayed peaceful and we would have gotten the chance to follow the law and still gotten what we came for: an examination of the evidence that the election was stolen. With the rioting, that was taken from us. 99.99% of the people there that day were peaceful and stunned by what we witnessed unfold. I went back to the mall on January 7th and it was like the world had ended.

Jacob Chansley is a passionate, patriotic, educated, Navy Vet. He wrote a book titled: "One Mind At A Time". Did he break any laws? No per the video. He was invited in. I intend to buy his book.

I think the cops on the ground were hung out to dry just like most of the people who entered the building by invitation. I don't think they are bad people. A lot of the video when viewed through their perspective was of a violent mob and they were clearly under attack.

I hope there is a second J6 commission and it pisses me off that it's been over a year and it hasn't happened. The first J6 findings are lies but they are all that has been officially found.

The whole thing was a setup by those responsible for security and I do not think Trump is totally innocent as well. Was he stupid to send us into an ongoing riot? That is the kindest take I have on his actions that day. Trump has taught me the concept of plausible deniability.

I fear for this country as well.

One person warned me to follow her lead and never go back to the States even for a brief visit for fear of what might happen to me....not by some roving gang after my money but by Trump supporters. who were after my soul.

Another would not accept my insistance that disallowing Trump to be on the ballot was the opposite of the democracy he is sure Trump will abolish. No, he told me, the Constituion allows that due to the insurrection. I could hardly function for days, when I went to bed with Hillary already measuring for curtains, only to find Trump had won."

The Democrats would place nazi symbols and signs in our events and then the Six o’clock news on TV would focus on the intruders and gas light us and call us Nazis. All fake. They also had rules that are central to woke ideology today: First, when in another country, always follow all that culture's customs with regard to showing courtesy, respect, etc. Second, when people from other countries are in the U.S., always follow that culture's customs in regard to showing courtesy, respect, etc.

Are we going to be a nanny state with the Government controlling everything we think and say (four more years of the same will do that),hiding in our VR paradises, ingesting ever more placating drugs, or will we get back (a bit) to our roots of honest work and fair play. Will our President stand on the side of we the people, or on the side of the uniparty? Will we stop the incessant interference in other country’s politics, will we corral the CIA and FBI? A flawed man, yes, but only Trump can do it.

i sort of regretfully agree - but it's time to face facts. I had hopes for RFKJ until Tuesday. We're not getting out of this without Trump I suspect. And there's going to be hell to pay. But we're already in it - so might as well turn up the heat and get it all out in the open.

I thought the same thing at first after watching Nicole's acceptance speech and actually thought I'd have to hold my nose and vote for Trump again. Robert Malone's Substack essay on the Kennedy/Shanahan ticket called her "cute". However, I'm beginning to believe that this woman is far deeper than she at first appears. Kennedy needed the dough, for sure, but, I believe the momentum will build. One big plus is Kennedy's ballot access problem is solved and he can focus on bringing his message of unification, ending corporate capture, reestablishing the scientific method to our medical community and the rest. Nicole will be a huge benefit exposing the Industrial-Censorship collusion between the Federal Government and Big Tech as well as exposing Big Ag and how it's destroying America's health.

I went through a mental exercise imagining how both Biden and Trump will attack her and not drive more young voters to her.

I wish Kennedy had picked Tulsi. If Trump picks Tulsi he's stronger and may pull it off. This thing is just getting started.

I was disappointed in Kennedy’s choice of VP. In my eyes, she is a progressive multimillionaire, who wants to focus on a quick cure of diseases and giving out money to poor. She belonged to the Silicon Valley’s elite. They are the ones who created our major problems engaging in censorship and election interference. It is true she is no longer a part of it or maybe she personally never was a part of it. But I would not trust her. And her acceptance speech showed that her priorities may not exactly align with the majority of Americans, IMO.

I think RFK, Jr may have helped Trump immensely with his choice of Shanahan. I'm really in a quandary what to do going forward. I don't trust Trump, I believe Biden is committed to censuring, socialism, Globalism, CBDCs and nullification of our Constitution.

I do trust RFK is sincere about taking on Corporate Capture of the Federal Government. Based on that, I'm planning on volunteering for the Kennedy/Shanahan ticket with the belief that it is the best path to help defeat Biden.

If Kennedy wins I can live with that. If Kennedy helps elect Trump, I can live with that as well. If Biden wins we're in big trouble as a Sovereign Nation and as a free people.

If Trump picks Tulsi, I will go from holding my nose to enthusiastic voter.

Neither Trump or Biden will be able to govern. To polarized a society for that plus all our major cities are experiencing ever worsening social breakdown due to out of control crime and the “migrant crisis” due to our open southern border.

Vote for Kennedy and Shanahan and all the things you listed will get addressed for the better. And, this comes from a critical thinker who woke up from the fever dream of being a Trumpster. It has been a humbling and learning experience understanding how powerful emotions are and how skillful some people are at manipulating them.

When I said only Trump can do it, I meant he’s the only one who can do it that has a chance of winning. I’d vote RFKJ if I thought he had a chance..

For months, I have been begging the Kennedy campaign to address the question of what he will do with 12 + million invaders who are already here on our dime while Americans are losing ground in almost every way, daily.

(I do understand his close the border policy.) They will not answer on the essential question of mass deportation for all here without a verifiable asylum claim.

Boundaries, both national and personal/physical are my top issues. I'm absolutely down with his stand on medical freedom, but I suspect he will provide Amnesty for all of them that have not been convicted of a crime.

And that's not o.k. with me.

Shanahan is too far left too recently in funding destructive politicians and policies. It takes years to demonstrate a change of mind and heart and is demonstrable only by actions. She could become President in a literal heartbeat. That's a hard NO for me. I'm actually grieving because I was a child and young teen in the 60's, loved JFK and RFK, had such high hopes for Camelot II.

He has addressed the question of what to do with illegal immigrants and his answer is to deal with them with compassion and generosity. Basically amnesty would be my guess.

So, as put offish as that is, why not entice industries who would love to repatriate but can't compete with $15/hr minimum wage by brokering a deal with $8/hr wages, green cards and a time frame to earn citizenship?

There are thousands of industries I think who would come back to America if a deal like that could be made.

IMO those who have been lined up for years for a path to Legal Immigration are first! We need work permits and employment them, first. And young to middle military aged men need a closer look. And yes: bring back American Industry to America.

I looked at some of the media commentary about Ronna McDaniel and the hypocrisy and delusion on display is genuinely mind boggling. Apparently hiring Jenn Psaki is totally non controversial but hiring RM - oh major questions! We might not know if she was expressing her own opinions or - I think this was the argument- shilling for the RNC. Well I think she was hired to express Republican friendly opinions. So it’s transparent that NBC has decided that only opinions that are Democratic friendly can be expressed on that network. That should provoke the appropriate response.

Thing is many of us On The Right were/are no real big fans of Ronna McDaniel. When she got hired by NBC the standard opinion was "Of Course she was. She's one of them." Today, even though we don't like her, she is just one more proof (as if we needed any) that Corporate Media is completely Gone.

This should be printed and hung on the White House fence, like in the time of the "Democracy Wall" in China. Be safe, Sasha. You mean too much to us right now.

Their greatest fear is the humanity of their followers coming to the surface. This is a race between kindness and hatred. Hatred needs a constant supply of fuel. We know where the fuel comes from, like a DNC Nordstream.

Great piece and interesting journey. The ejection of Ronna from the body-liberal shows an immune system that has built up mighty levels of TDS antibodies from years of a constant flood of lies and antigens.

To extend the metaphor a bit , the anti-bodies generated don’t just target Trump and MAGA; as we see in the oresent example, the response is sensitive but broad and non-specific.

Sasha, I'm so glad that you found your way out of that hateful environment. Welcome to the light. I know you've been here a while, but every time I read about your conversion, I want to congratulate you on finding your way out. It is no small feat, and shouldn't be minimized.

A nice thought but I’ll have to see it to believe it. The Democratic Party has become a criminally insane, open borders, anti-Christian, anti-meritocracy, anti-white hate group. Hard to see how they will change when every day I see them becoming more deranged.

That’s fair, Seva. Consider also checking the RCP election polls that seem to indicate a lot of people moving away from the Democratic Party.

That is why I don't like the Shanahan pick - to me,she is right out of the DNC money machine - if people complain that Vivek. et al have no governmental experience but are just hacks for conservatives, why is she getting a pass. Then of course, there is RFJ's support of all things Israel.

Good article in WSJ by Kim Strassel today about how RNC is using DNC playbook of covertly supporting RFK Jr in order to reduce votes for Biden. Kinda funny.
