Whether Telluride or next door neighbor, the Hate Has No Home Here sign actually means Hate of MAGA has a Home Here. Kudos to Sasha Stone for having the courage and gumption to go into the belly of the beast to report back to us.
I think I should have stuck with my original "No person is illegal, just illegally present", which is what I used a few years ago when posting an "In this house" statement on the door to my study, and ended with something like "Diversity is our strength: unity through division!". Or perhaps "Two wrongs make a right: reverse discrimination forever!" Such a "target rich environment". But I was trying to stick with the "unless" theme, and it is difficult to make the other points fit in with the rest. In any event, I accept your compliment.
My husband calls it the "Neither does Jose" sign. When we were looking for a house, my first choice of town was one that leans left and has those signs all over. The realtor would not show us any of the listings there but showed us houses in Hispanic majority towns instead.
A woman posted the trailer on our community FB page. Said it looks great. And immediately the liberals jumped in with comments such as this one:
"Does the movie cover when he worked with the Iranians to keep the hostages there until after the election to hurt Jimmy Carter with the promise of weapons sales and then using the money to fund death squads in Central America, Iran-Contra? Does it cover the place he choice to announce his second run for president was in the county that was made famous for the slaying of three civil rights leaders with the dog whistle of states rights? Does it cover him completely ignoring the AIDS epidemic? But you know he wore a cowboy hat and liked jelly beans…"
I'm to the point where I can't stand any of these people and/or be friends with them. It's just hate all around with them.
We all suffer from confirmation bias. If one is a republican conservative who likes Reagan, and then you dive deep into some negative things he did It is like sandpaper for the brain. It is uncomfortable..Same with liberals.Do you want to have your mind blown? research the Cathy O'brien story. Im not saying to believe it. But maybe,,what is going on behind the scenes?.. the level of deceit and fraud and nauseating filth coming from both parties, from the elite? would shock all of us. Like why isn't Epstein's black book made public? We are all being manipulated by an intricate and powerful engine that we cant even comprehend. (maybe)
TWC is right, the Iran-Contra affair was a huge stain on Reagan’s watch. He probably was one of the last to know, kinda like Bush with 9/11, but it’s still one of his many failures.
I never was a fan of Reagan, his policies hurt a lot of people, and I’m not about to become one now…
yeah, they refuse to let Trump use their music at his rallies but if some Saudi prince hired them to sing at a party they'd fall all over themselves to do so. The hypocrisy is disgusting.
These musicians who deny their music can be used in conservative rallies is a major pet peeve of mine. Music brings such unity, and to have the good fortune of having made it in the music biz and then say only "certain people" can listen is incredibly divisive. Only Chrissie Hynde that I'm aware of---had the wisdom to stop her record company from disallowing Rish Limbaugh to use her song "My City is Gone" in his opening intro---she allowed it even though she's a liberal and that speaks volumes about her character. THAT is how a true liberal would behave. The many musicians who continue to sow division when they could bring healing is disheartening. I reach out the them on social with the Chrissie Hynde story when I can....hoping they'll come to their senses. and help bring the world together. Can't help it, I'm a musician myself.
Dems live in this fantasy that everyone they oppose should be sinless unflawed and every decision approved unanimously. There's is no room for the" best we could accomplish" or any position of compromise because they cannot accept anything less than their ridiculous demands.
Of course that's not reality. Reagan did a lot of good for this country and in the end it is questionable how much he actually knew. Never fear the deep state was already hard at work. It doesn't excuse the bad things he did or that happened on his watch.
But the Dems do not hold their own to these unachievable standards and have no excuses. They either pretend it never happened( like everyone older than 3 doesn't have a camera and access to the Internet) or scream derogatory labels in your face and threaten violence. Biden was a plagiarist liar cheater and a racist his whole political career. Harris is a flaming Marxist that slept her way into her career and hides her true "values" behind lies because she knows even her own voters would desert her if they knew the true motivation, the impact on their lives and all the lies she tells to get the power to destroy this nation and ALL our lives( her supporters will not be spared. They are ignorant of true communism by design) there is little hope they will ever change their minds until it's too late. We can only pray that others like you will realize the truth. 🙏❤️
“Harris is a flaming Marxist”. So she’s into 19th Century worker’s rights or something? What are you trying to say? I don’t think Marxism means what you think it means…
This ad for Independence is brilliant! I can almost hear the tune for ozempic playing in the background. This needs to go viral on social media. And I intend to use it. So now when one of my liberal friends posts one of those mindless liberal memes, and I receive dozens each day, I will simply comment to each with a link to this video.
The movie is excellent. I attended the Premiere screening in Hollywood at the Chinese Theater with all the Cast & Crew. The story, acting and directing are great in my opinion. I'm a producer/line producer and had the honor to just jump in and be the Cast driver for Dennis Quaid and Penelope Ann Miller at the Reagan Ranch section of filming. I hated Reagan and America when he was President as I was a communist at the time. I am greatfull I went from Mao to Reagan and became aBorn Again America and Patriot. I recommend everyone check it out and share it and hope it is successful at the box-office. I have been posting about it on Facebook and getting almost no response. Can't say for sure but Facebook may be shadow banning it.
I actually saw the move on Tuesday at a private showing. It was a little sappy, but overall provided an in-depth understanding of Reagan and the forces that formed him and motivated him. Most of all, it provides a real understanding of the his role in the downfall of the Soviet Union -- real "Great Man" stuff. And I believe it because I lived through it.
I saw Reagan tonight with my husband and we both loved it. It brought back a lot of memories of those times we both lived through it and we both agreed the film was so well done showing pretty much true as I remembered it. I have always had the greatest respect for him as our governor and president. He really had a lot of courage to fight the communists in Hollywood and stood up to the Soviets in a way that worked so miraculously. We needed him just like we need a strong president today to fight off all the foes now trying to turn our country into a communist, Marxists, socialist country. This is a timely moment to bring out this great film now.
Everyone must see this film. It's as great as The Sound of Freedom.
Good analysis. It was a little sappy- but Ron and Nancy bwere pretty sappy about each other in the most endearing way.I agree and I, too remember in real time. Especially the tearing down of The Wall.
Just left the theatre and on the way home. I thought the film did a good job of portraying a great President and courageous American through a unique lens, and in an extremely dangerous time in our recent history. Didn’t gloss over Iran Contra or minimize conflicts within his staff. Did celebrate their well known love story in a very public marriage. Nobody seeing this can fail to be reminded of how Americans once took love of country for granted. It was heartwarming and there were not a few misty eyes at the end. I can see why Leftists would hate it. I’d like my older grandkids to see it so they will understand our history better and how our leaders once conducted themselves. The theatre audience applauded as credits rolled.
I’m on a daily dose of ‘Independence’ Sasha! Thanks for that beautiful link and for photos of the beautiful scenery you and the puppers are soaking in! Have a great Labor Day weekend all you Stoners.
At the 44:40 time in the Megyn Kelly interview, Dan Lauria, who played Tip O'Neill, explains that he was on a commision to investigate the JFK assassination. They recreated the shooting and concluded the bullet that went through Kennedy's throat could have been shot by Oswald, but the bullet that hit Kennedy in the head had to be shot from a different gun because the velocity was different. Worth watching!
Leads directly to questions of the Trump assassination attempt, whether there was another shooter.
this was an excellent interview yesterday! it was even more impactful because dan makes it clear on the show, too, that he is firmly on the left of politics and will be voting harris this fall.
When I went to Dealey Plaza and saw the location of car when JFK was shot in the head, I immediately felt there was no way it came from the book depository.
I'm not surprised they dropped you. I came across a thread on FB just yesterday about this very thing. It's a FB friend who asked if it was ok to remove Trump voters from her life because of, you guessed it, they're racists. The whole thread was them giving themselves permission to hate people who vote red and all the reasons given were nothing but pure propaganda. It was nothing but MSM BS. Among the group was a woman who was my best friend for 20 years. She ghosted me during Trump's administration, she completely cut me off. 20 years of friendship meant nothing. Do I get saucy and passionate of FB over politics? Yup. Did she? Yup. But it's ok when they do it because they always think they are better than the conservatives. I used to be angry about it but now I just feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for all of them. Maybe someday they will find Independence.
I stood in line to vote for Reagan as a college freshman. Loved him. I wish we had presidents like him now, but that’s not our moment. I’m stunned that anyone would vote for Harris after living through the last 4 years. Trump is today’s Reagan in a New Yorker kind of way, brash and bold and sometimes off message, but you can’t miss that he loves America. As Reagan did. But Trump is who we need, he’s the only one who will call out the communists in the Dem party, and they are legion. They hate him bc he’s got their number and they know it—-the leaders know it, the rest are sheep. The difference between Reagan and Trump fundamentally is where the Communist threat is coming from—-Reagan the USSR, Trump from within our country.
Whether Telluride or next door neighbor, the Hate Has No Home Here sign actually means Hate of MAGA has a Home Here. Kudos to Sasha Stone for having the courage and gumption to go into the belly of the beast to report back to us.
In this house we believe:
Black lives matter, unless taken by Blacks
No person is illegal, unless White in a non-White country
Science is real, unless we don't like it's conclusions
Kindness is everything, unless we are dealing with our enemies.
It's a good thing we know, because they tell us so, that such people are so very righteous. Otherwise, we might have a hard time telling ...
Wow! Thank-you for the translation!!❤️

Trying to remember when those signs first appeared. I think it was pre-MAGA so perhaps it means Hate of America has a Home Here.
You are, as usual, probably correct.
A woman posted the trailer on our community FB page. Said it looks great. And immediately the liberals jumped in with comments such as this one:

Tbf, the Iran-Contra thing was a huge deal. That being said, Reagan was prob the last to know. VP GHW Bush however? Who knows.
Anyone who doubts that a Deep State DOESNT run things is delusional.
And yes it was brought up in the movie.
I’m at this same point!

Agreed, but what’s obnoxious is that the mainstream media will never bring to light anything negative about anyone on the left
Or bury it ...
Here's looking at you BO & EH.
Its surprising [not really] how the evil genius[es] behind the "Fast and Furious 🔫🇲🇽" op have now been elevated [😱] to defenders of democracy.

Which Reagan policies do you think harmed the people?

I really loved the movie. I made a point to go opening day to support it. What a fun experience for you!
Dena, Glad you loved it. Excellent film. Best

Yes, watching that was pretty amazing.
Well, I, for one, put a great deal of faith in critics.
Therefore, I’ll be the first one in line tomorrow!
Hope this movie takes off like a rocket.

Tip and Regan. From a time when politicians weren’t self-serving assholes.

I just got home from seeing Reagan. I thought it was excellent. Quaid was really good. The ending made me cry. I’m glad I went!
I reacted the same way at the ending. Ron & Nancy had a special love.

"But it's ok when they do it because they always think they are better than the conservatives."
They Think?
They “feel”.
On second thought I guess they do. In a 5 year old kind of way.
The exclusionary intolerance of the left is deliciously ironic. Their moral vanity will always hobble them from ever truly living.
I may just go buy a bunch of tickets and offer them to our employees. 95% of them will go cause the counter-culture can hire people, too. 😉
