I am neither sad nor lonely but I have felt disenfranchised from the government and Democratic Party for a long time. And this coming from a poor 2nd generation Irish Catholic clan that thought FDR and JFK were saints while Nixon was the devil. We served in the military and worked non-government jobs. We paid full parochial school tuition and didn’t take welfare or food stamps. And we watched as the Democratic Party became the Nazi’s seeking the ruin of heterosexual White men through institutionalized racism and sexism (aka Affirmative Action) and NYC and Hollywood cultural elites tag teamed to portray every straight white guy as a villain; past, present and future. Well fuck them; they poked the bear too much. And children, cousins and friends that know better will learn, change and vote for a more just America. This persecution will make some stronger and do what Nature always does with the rest.

First dispatch from the road, and it’s a grand slam. The photos of the memorial brought tears to my eyes. This is a town of only 13,500 people who cared enough to create that beautiful memorial. Thanks so much for sharing it, the perfect illustration for your article.

Everything you wrote is true, Sasha. It is saddening to me that someone like Gretchen Witmer easily won re-election after her dismal record with Covid authoritarianism. We are watching the country change very quickly. The corruption has been there for many decades. It just wide open now, it’s shameless.

I was watching those "violent riots" that day and didn't see anything particularly violent. It was obvious that those on the mall were allowed into the building. That's obvious because the doors swung outward, not inward as they would have if they had been forced. I was impressed by the way the people conducted themselves, the patches they wore and how they conducted themselves that these men and women, some of whom were black and brown, were military veterans. My thoughts were that their actions were premature and they weren't armed. The Oath Keepers, which the media hates, is made up mostly of veterans, active military and law enforcement, people who have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Of course, they are hated by the Lefists in control of the government and media. They (we) are NOT forgotten - Leftists know damn well who we are and they see us a threat to their plans to establish a new social order.

Beautiful essay. Anyone who uses "flyover country" is insulting the very essence of what it means to be an American. I'm a Vietnam veteran so your poignant tribute, through your words and photos, is much appreciated. Happy Holidays!

Also, in twenty years, Nancy's legacy will be:

- A level of aggressive rhetoric in Congress and between parties that was harsher than ever before

-The use of impeachment as a political tool

-The precedent of excluding members of the opposite party from committees.

Just like Harry's jettisoning of the filibuster set an awful, and short sighted precedent, so will Nancy's 'win at all cost' tactics do long lasting damage to the House. She was an evil wicked woman.

and Paul was involved in a tryst that went bad for chirssakes, let's say it out loud.

Sasha...when I see a Substack from you in my mailbox I go make a cup of coffee or a drink if it's in the evening and settle in to read something special, exceptional, riveting and best of all or maybe worst of all true!

I know you probably don't believe this and maybe I even don't entirely but I do believe that sometimes the good guys win and this is gonna be one of those times. The elite are in the minority and we're gonna beat them...I feel it in my bones.

That Raskin is evil incarnate...maybe even Satan himself...he is a gross human being and if everyone can't see that then we are indeed lost...so is Biden, Obama, Cheney, Kinsinger and the rest. Power hungry idiots that think they are smarter than everyone and that no-one knows who they are when everyone knows.

The angels are coming...I know it!

The Twitter files have shamed the government, the FBI, the Democratic Party, and most of all, the puppet press

I'm sorry, but I doubt any of them felt any shame.

What a dream this post is.

Trump supporters... Here's me: Married for 28 years and father of three, a veteran of war and peace, a mechanical engineer designing and manufacturing American OEM products against competitors(CCP) our government class supports more than us, a volunteer firefighter at night and on weekends.

I feel I represent a very large group of people who pay a very large portion of our taxes - there are are far more of us making $70K-$200K than the 400+ billionaires out there and between city, state, and local taxes plus the 20% of every product you buy being passed through taxation - over half of our income is gone. For what? Paying for illegal immigrant health care while leaving veterans on the streets to garner votes for both parties. And yes, we have zero representation. Trump DID represent us and everyone else.

I didn't vote for Trump in the 2016 primary and immediately understood my mistake. What has happened in the last 7 years shows you exactly how corrupt everyone but Trump really is in Sodom on Potomac. I revere the man; I consider myself a tough guy and I couldn't have lasted 2 hours in that den of vipers before I knocked heads off and he handled it splendidly. To the point of, as Molly Ball at Time told us, they had to take him out. G-d damn all of them.

You seem so frustrated, as do us all who are able to hear what's really being said. If you're passing through Lincoln, NE I'd love to take you to see some small town farmers and real people and hear what they have to say.

Thank you Sasha! Love your substack episodes. There are many Americans who see what’s happening to our wonderful country. The evil evil people think they have the upper hand but, God will rectify soon. Peace

When society allows every individual action to be viewed and accepted as activism, there is no regret or shame for the perpetrators. Whatever was done or must be done is in the name of furthering THE CAUSE. Much like SBF and "effective altruism", lying, cheating, fraud, etc. are all noble and in fact encouraged if done in pursuit of "the greater good". A lack of consensual, objective, societal truth makes each individual the ultimate arbiter of what that greater good is, and therefore justifies any action taken in their own mind. Emotion and sentiment rule the day; whether or not they have any connection to reality or fact matters not.

I appreciate your detailed reply/explanation. Our beliefs are not facts and even facts can be interpreted in conflicting ways. These different interpretations often come from many thoughtful intelligent and good people.
