Looks like Joe finally acknowledged his granddaughter - but it's too little too late. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/7/29/biden-publicly-acknowledges-7th-grandchild-for-first-time

And only after a DNA test made it irrefutable. So much for family values.

There was a meme which went around a year or two ago which said: "Somewhere there is a 2-year old girl whose mother is a stripper, father a crackhead, and grandfather President of the United States".

The biggest loser in all of this being the little girl, named Navy.

Hopefully the little girl never meets her actual father. The mother should move on quietly and find an actual man, a real man, to marry, and live her life. The Biden’s are toxic demons from hell. They receive their due rewards in time.

On top of that, he still hasn't spoken about her. The White House sent a written statement - undoubtedly written by an aide - to People Magazine. I wouldn't even bet that Joe is aware of it. If he mentions his grandchildren again publicly, I don't think he'll acknowledge her.

Being a sperm donor in a one night stand is not by any stretch of the imagination the same as being a father. The child would be vastly worse off with Hunter involved in her life, or Joe (with his strange and pedo-adjacent proclivities) for that matter as well. Bringing up the “grandchild” angle adds nothing to the indictment of this narcissistic clan for their obvious criminality. I wish people would quit bringing up the matter of this innocent child; it’s not needed in the telling of the Biden story and can only make her life more difficult.

Expand full comment
founding

Sorry, but supplying the sperm for a child does make one the biological father of that child, with all the moral and financial responsibilities that come with it. Exactly how that responsibility will be manifest in the child's life may vary according to circumstances, but the responsibillity is real and should not be ducked, as Hunter has repeatedly tried to do. Joe's culpability is going along with Hunter's irresponsibility. Pitiful.

I think that the first two of Joe Biden's two faces was your father's. Not that I am criticizing. I have had two Love-at-First-Sight experiences in my life: the first one was a dead-ringer for my mother, and the second one (who wound up as the mother of my kids) was was a dead-ringer for my sister. Facial resemblance definitely does affect feelings. But there was always "negative evidence" about Biden.

I wonder if the expansion of coverage of the Hunter Biden story is being arranged by the Democratic Party. I'm sure that many of the Dems must want to get Joe Biden cancelled in time for Gavin Newsom or someone else the party selects to become the Dem nominee next year.

The "Trump trance" is being sustained intentionally by the media. It serves them because Trump is a lot more interesting than anything else the media can find to boost their ratings. The Trump trance also has fully taken hold among innocent, trusting Democrats who get all their information from Dem controlled media. Every time I get together with my Dem friends they at some point during the visit go off on rants or panicky ravings about Trump. All of them were riveted by the show trials against Trump and spoke about various anti-Trump Congressional stars, including Liz Cheney, with radiant words of praise and adulation. They previously had hated her, and they still do hate everything about her except for her performances during the Congressional show trials.

The level to which Americans are being manipulated by the media is overwhelming to witness. I just assume at this point that we are the targets of endless psy-ops perpetrated by the federal government in concert with the media. Perhaps those of us who oppose the woke cult are being manipulated as well, to hate the Democrats. It would not surprise me.

Wow, seriously? You really believed this?: "Scranton Joe is the good man, the good father, who rode the Amtrak train home from DC every day to be with his family. He’s the forward-thinking progressive who fought for the Black community, for victims of sexual assault, and for gay rights before even Obama did." This right here is why we are doomed. We need the people of our country to be better educated than this, and to not vote with their emotions. "Scranton Joe" was never a good man. He was best friends with Robert Byrd, a former KKK Grand Wizard. He called black people "predators". He was FOR segregated schools. Joe was one of the architects of the 1992 Crime bill where he BRAGGED about putting small time drug users away for many years for a quarter sized amount of cocaine, which devastated the poor black community. On top of that he helped expand the RICO confiscation laws that circumvented Constitutional protections and allowed the government to steal massive amounts of property without even charging anyone, no less obtaining a conviction. He's always been massively anti-2A and every time he opens his mouth on the subject, he reveals his ignorance and bigotry toward gun owners. As for Biden being "for" gay marriage before Obama (after being solidly against it for decades), he was sent out to float that balloon by Obama, who considered old Joe to be the useful idiot from whom he could distance himself if his remarks went south. Did you even know that Joe was in the Presidential race for the first time in the 1980's and was drummed out for plagiarism? Remember when that kind of loss of honor meant something? Even his story about how he met his current wife is a lie - he knew her before his first wife died, and her ex-husband claims they were having an affair at that time. Then there's the story that Joe told many times about that accident, where he claimed repeatedly that it was a drunk driver. That was false. It was just an accident, but Joe and the truth have never had a close relationship. The manipulative bastard has repeatedly lied about his education, his degrees and a bunch of other equally foolish manipulations of history to puff himself up during debates and talks with other people who dare to challenge him. Even on this Burisma story, who hasn't seen the video of Biden in front of a group of people speaking as VP and bragging about how he blackmailed the Ukrainian PM into firing a prosecutor who was investigating Hunter? He threatened to withhold $1Billion in aid if the prosecutor wasn't fired within hours! When asked if that move was approved by his boss (OBAMA), he stated simply "call and ask him". So he implicated Obama in that criminal act as well. Then there's the sexual assault allegation and his creepy behavior around women and children. Then there's Ashley Biden's diary, where she talks about his showering with her as a pre-teen girl. Ugh! There's so much more, but really, please, examine the 47 year history of this disgusting piece of filth really seriously and then tell me you are surprised by his actions in recent years. There's nothing inconsistent with his past behavior except for his recent mental decline. And if he were anyone else, I'd feel sorry for him. But since it's Creepy Joe, it's not nearly enough to pay for the damage this self-serving bastard has done. So for future reference, please do a better job of vetting your future heroes, and stop listening to fairy tales.

I think my issue with all of this is that our standards are so low for voting, that anyone, regardless of literacy or ability to even understand basic civics can just fill out a ballot and elect any corrupt fool to office, and we are all stuck with the consequences. Consequences which have ruined countless lives and robbed all of us of adequate representation and several important rights and liberties. Voting should be considered an important responsibility, not a right granted to anyone with a pencil. Sasha knows how to read and write - that much is obvious - but she didn't give due care and diligence to this important responsibility. And it's costing all of us. Bigly.

Sasha saw the light and changed her mind. Isn't this good enough? To condemn her for not seeing the light sooner is the same thing the "woke" crowd bellows about - "How could people 200 years ago have slaves? Why couldn't they see that it was wrong? They're just irredemable white supremacists who should be erased from history!" Etc.

As individuals and as a country we are fed certain narratives and immersed in certain family, social and educational situations that continually shape our perception of the world and our response to it. If we are intelligent we continually examine our beliefs and modify them as new information comes in.

That's all anyone can do.

The whole point of commenting here is to try to persuade others to consider changing their views on a given matter. That's how we all learn. My own views are continually being refined and in some cases may be turned on their head if new information becomes available.

Rather than condemn someone changing their mind and regretting their previously held views, I think that's the whole point of why we are here.

It's not "good enough" unless she and others like her change their ways and do their homework, taking this important responsibility seriously before voting or getting behind someone. This is saying you got conned by someone with a long and very well known history of conning people. Ten minutes of research would have at least started a trail of uncovering all the lies, and the misdirection. I didn't hear that from her - instead, what she wrote was "who didn't love Joe?" and the obvious answer is no one who followed what he was doing loved Joe. Not for his votes on issues or his racist friends or his plagiarism or his gun control lies or his academic lies, or his drug policies or his property confiscation policies or his blatant admission in 2015 that he blackmailed Ukraine with a $1 Billion aid package to fire the prosecutor who was investigating his son. I want her to say that she will never take this sacred duty so irresponsibly again, and she will do everything in her power to not let anyone around her do it either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXA--dj2-CY

"This is saying you got conned by someone with a long and very well known history of conning people."

Biden's con was and is helped along immeasurably by the MSM, even as we speak. Clearly, millions are still falling for it - some out of cult-like slavishness; others because, well, they just aren't very bright; and still others who are plenty smart but are just creeps. Then there are those who are understandably confused by the 24/7 military-grade propaganda we're all subjected to, but they're still persuadable - if only they can get good information.

She said she believed in the myth but no longer does. That's a good thing as it demonstrates the ability to take in new information and change your mind even if it conflicts with deeply-held beliefs. Your finger-wagging for her somehow not realizing all of this from birth is nonsense.

Taking in new information and changing your mind is all that anyone can do. Not everyone starts out at the same place in terms of what they believe and why they believe it. No one, including you, is born with perfect knowledge.

Rather than chastising someone for past erroneous thinking - which we're all guilty of since we're human - be glad when someone sees the error in their thinking and corrects it and then tries to help others understand.

We're all doing the best that we can. Sincerity of heart and openness to learning is what is important.

"I want her to say that she will never take this sacred duty so irresponsibly again..."

This sounds a wee bit fanatical, don't you think? ☺

Sure. Take a look at the most corrupt government we've ever had and the emerging disaster all around us, and tell me that this isn't serious. That sounds a wee bit delusional, don't YOU think? A decades-long track record like Biden's is impossible to miss for anyone with a seeking mind and a serious approach to the responsibility of voting. Now if we could just get people's heads out of the freaking boob tube and whatever other dark crevice in which they are stuck, we might have a chance to save this nation.

"Take a look at the most corrupt government we've ever had and the emerging disaster all around us, and tell me that this isn't serious."

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the government has been corrupt for a very long time. The only thing new is we're all now starting to realize how rotten it really is as they've developed the technological means to spy on all of us and turn us into zombified slaves. That's why they're trying so hard to clamp down on social media/free speech (aka "misinformation").

Where do you think all of the "cancel culture" crap came from? It didn't arise organically. Indeed, it's questionable that anything arises organically in the U.S. and if it does (e.g., Occupy Wall Street) it is immediately crushed by the government or co-opted for their purposes.

How do you think they've brainwashed half the country into believing that censorship is a good thing? Or that men can become women? This is the result of them studying and refining how to manipulate us for many decades. MK-Ultra ring a bell? The Covid mass hysteria and "vaccine" (of which we're still not sure what are the long-term effects) showed them how effective their efforts have been.

They just can't stand the current level of scrutiny by ordinary citizens. This is what is new - all of us sharing information real-time from across the world and bypassing the old controlled mass media, right when they're ready to put the final touches on the the technocratic nightmare society they've long envisioned, aka "China - The Special Edition".

We've been lied to and manipulated my entire life - and that goes all the way back to Eisenhower, who warned us of the rise of the military-industrial complex and how that would fundamentally change our institutions and our very way of life. That same MIC almost got us into WWIII back in 1962. If not for JFK, we'd all be circling the globe in a cloud of radioactive dust.

When all they had to control was the legacy media and that's all we peons had for information they got away with blatantly mudering political leaders who got in the way (JFK, RFK, MLK), starting wars that killed millions (Vietnam) and even attacking our own citizens (9/11) in order to start more wars (Iraq, etc.) that have killed millions. They've been robbing us blind for a long time.

Rod Serling had a great monologue in the Twilight Zone episode, 'The Obsolete Man':

"This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the superstates that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace."

All of that is true, and good to see someone who gets it. My issue with Sasha and others like her is that even if she were only paying attention peripherally, by 2016, everyone should have had a clue that corporate media was lying and working to manipulate an election. Remember, Trump had virtually ZERO chance of winning, according to all of their polls, right up until he won, and that was with the machine working overtime against him. And we saw the shenanigans in the 2020 election, where all of a sudden, everything shut down at midnight in the swing states where he was leading, and then miraculously opened up hours later with numbers that were completely flipped. So basically, they just cheated bigger this time and then gaslit everyone who noticed. And yes, we've had the internet effectively for the last 20 years, with more sources of information - even basic things like voting records, which are there for everyone who does a search. I'm not supporting Trump this time around because he's continued to lie to everyone about the worst crime against humanity in human history, and if we look at his track record, he made some really ill informed choices and sided with globalists on things that mattered. That doesn't negate the handful of great things he did, like keep us out of wars (which was really what the hysteria was about, when you look at the left and neocons positioning themselves to make big $$$ from what Hillary had planned), the Abraham Accords and judicial appointments (from a list that was collated before his presidency). But we must do better, or the continued decline is inevitable. The last 3 years have proven that.

It seemed the entire country (minus 3 people and the Dixie Chicks), along with the entire congress (minus a handful of holdouts) went along with immersing us in a mess of lies that took the lives of thousands of our military. But you, with your x-ray ability to know which sources are valid and which are bs could save all of us. You've NEVER made a mistake and voted for a pol who turned out to be a lowlife.

That's an awesome excuse. Love it. And yes, I've made mistakes on trusting people WITHOUT a 47 year history of lies and corruption. Two people CANNOT look at Joe's record and conclude that he's a good person who fights for civil rights and is a devoted, honest, family man. It just can't happen if you have any capacity to read and comprehend anything. And if you can't do that, you shouldn't be voting. I hate to say it, but the 19th Amendment, as it was enacted, was a huge mistake. Allowing anyone with a birthdate and a pulse to vote was a bad idea. Before that time, a lot of men couldn't vote, and for good reason. People don't even understand our real history and what led to this time. It's getting worse with time, as our education system is dumbing people down and draining critical thinking skills. And we can't "nice" our way out of that.

Obama only had his epiphany because, by early 2012, the polls had shown a consistent majority of the public now supported it. That's not leadership nor "fighting for", it's pure political pandering. Well done. I think the corruption actually began with Woodrow Wilson. Don't laugh. I mean it. The corruption began when that president decided we needed experts to ride herd on government affairs. The lying experts in the FBI, CIA, DIA, State Department, Justice Department, ad nauseam are the root of the problem. Purge the Fauci's and that idiot running Homeland Sucurity and the rest and we can start getting the government working for the citizens again.

You bet, I understand that fully. I always thought that Woodrow Wilson was the most evil and terrible President in US history. And then came Creepy Joe, fondling little girls in camera, and communizing our formerly wonderful country. Don, you totally get it.

You forgot to mention that Wilson featured the first full length movie in the White House ever, the “Birth of a Nation “ which completely promoted the Ku Klux Klan, from the White House, to promote lynching of the negro men, and to continue slavery of the negro families. This man, Woodrow Wilson, is the first globalist American president who despised the US Constitution and favored foreign institutions over American people.

Wilson also needlessly got us in WWI resulting in over 320,000 teenage and young men US casualties. Wilson, like FDR, never served in the military but were happy to get us engaged in world wars costing us hundreds of thousands of casualties. Cowards, Globalists and Ivy League Elites.

You got it. All the evils of big government were begun by Wilson.

As I noted on another comment thread, Woody was a classic "progressive": he knew better than you, and was going to force you to go along with his save the world schemes. Nothing has changed with "progressives" since then.

Yep, Jesus said it right about the Pharisees of His day, they are like whitewashed tombs that are gleaming white marble on the outside, but inside they are filled with all manner of corruption. I can't imagine the depths of the corruption of the cabal involved in selling out our nation. We have those in power that would crucify Jesus in a heartbeat to hide their evil.

Are there ever any cases where they make a Democrat look bad? Seems like Democrats cannot diverge from the party line.

They might be mounting a smear campaign against Biden right now. Not that he isn't guilty, but they knew about that a long time ago and buried the story. It serves their interest to have it come out now.

Well, they hate RFK - the only real Democrat running for office.

It’s probably best for the little girl to not be exposed to her biological grandfather who is a ( by his own child account) pedophile. Hunter is a troubled man who grew up in a confusing household…mother / sister die in a tragic accident and dad takes up with the very young babysitter. For a young boy that has to do some damage. She was once attractive, Hunter and maybe Beau had a crush…who knows. But, the fact is Joe has gotten away with multiple inappropriate relationships and has used charm to get away with this behavior. I imagine he saw Clinton’s/ Bushes / Kerry’s / Pelosi’s and the list goes on get away with lining their pockets and he decided he deserves a piece of the action too. I imagine he was passed over when they put Obama front and center and took out HRC. The political chess playing is endless. But the fact is that he was trying to be both ‘ everyday guy from the neighborhood’ and ‘political snake’ willing to do anything / throw anyone under the bus / use his family for political gain. His personal life aside he isn’t the brightest guy and it’s very clear he is a pawn being used. Our country is a mess and we are being attacked from within. It’s up to us to acknowledge that we got lazy and just trusted the people we originally put in office 20 / 30 / 40+ years ago. It’s time to pull our heads out of the sand, pay attention and right this ship. The radical political far left has vilified MAGA. Don’t let them pull us into that circle of hell. We all want to make America great again.

"red state big cities"

To which cities are you referring, exactly?

Between 2016 and 2023, an average of 63 of the 100 largest cities had a Democratic mayor at the beginning of the year, and an average of 28 cities had a Republican mayor.

The biggest US cities (eg NYC, Chicago, LA, Philly, Detroit, Baltimore, Atlanta, etc) have been run by Democrats for the last 50 years and it shows. In Philly we average over 10 murders per week, over 50 shootings per week, several thousand car jackings and violent assaults every year. 90% of the public school students fail the grade level proficiency tests. Virtually no arrests and fewer incarcerations. Democrats optimized the ruin of urban blacks and the stats are undeniable.

Governors of CA, PA, NY, IL are all Democrats and their lawless, failing, violent cities are run by Democrats too. Blacks are getting shot by other blacks in outrageous numbers in these cities, over 80% of blacks are failing grade level proficiency tests there, and you defend these Democratic mayors and governors?

Well, Tulsa is relatively small with <500k population. I will take your word for the lack of support for it by Republicans. But the fact is the largest cities in America are all controlled by Democrats. The top 5 have populations totaling over 19M people.

"Your changing the subject"

Perhaps it was not clear exactly what was the subject.

"when big cities are in red states the state does nothing for them"

That's a pretty broad statement. Without specifics, it is unclear what we're even talking about. I suppose it depends upon the state and the government of that state and what, state constitution-wise, powers the state has in intervening in local affairs.

The largest cities are almost all in Democratic states. 7 of the 10 largest cities are in Dem states, with 9 of them run by Dems. The other 3 largest cities are in Texas, which has, according to the New York Times, "a weak state government with few taxes and fewer regulations and services."

So this is a complex issue that requires specifics before we can even know what we're discussing.

I can say from my own personal experience having lived in both L.A. and S.F. for decades that those cities, while they've always been tough as big cities generally are, have gone completely rotten.
