As Glenn Beck stated on his program:

Thank you lord, Thank you to the almighty, for giving us, not what we deserve, but giving us mercy, which we do not deserve.

We witnessed a mircle last night

We do deserve it! God intervened

As I said, He meant in terms of what the country has become.

It’s hard to dismiss that when you look at those simulations of that shot and see how close we came to civil war.

“which we do not deserve.”

Why don’t we deserve it? We deserve a functional society, secure borders, safe city streets and public schools that are sane and actually educate children rather than poison them with Woke idiocy. We don’t deserve to be ruled by deranged Woke democrats.

He meant in terms of what the country has become.

Meaning, the state of a place ruled by the fascist far-left.

Where I find it hard to believe that the acronym ‘DEI’ wasn’t deliberately formulated for nefarious purposes.

We deserve nothing for which we are not willing to sacrifice all. Sorry.

Why should have to “sacrifice all” to have basics like secure borders and good schools?

The tyrant part is satisfying but the patriot part is key.

No need for such drastic measures now that Trump is taking over.

The President is not a dictator, the country is still deeply divided and sooner or later the Republicans will screw the pooch and empower the Democrats again, especially if the GOPe has a restoration. As you know, I favor peaceful separation. And finally, I was responding to Casey Jones that substack somehow attached to you.

We also deserve to have our immigration laws enforced just not at the border but also deportations.

(Took me a while but here goes)

Do secure borders and good schools grow on trees? If not, they require effort. What level of sacrifice do you see as being appropriate?

Expand full comment

My tax money should be enough to pay for secure borders and good schools. I don’t expect them to grow on trees. I expect at least the basics of a civilized society for my taxes. I live in Chicago and I am not getting the basics now.

I take it that he means that we as humans (mainly himself) are sinners, and that the country has fallen into sin and degradation in many forms, along with people willfully and unwittingly turning away from God. It’s also a plea of humility and being faithful to God’s will in one’s life.

I hear what you’re saying. I believe that Glenn was speaking subjectively from his heart according to his beliefs, and not speaking for others as a whole.

Expand full comment

Glenn was referring to God's 'mercy' which we do not deserve because we are all sinners. As sinners we deserve death, not mercy. Yet when God sent Jesus to die for us, He died for our sins, and now all we have to do to receive God's mercy is to repent of our sins before Him, and acknowledge that JesusChrist was indeed His Son, come to save us. John 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save us, thru Him."

If this nation's people would fall to their knees and repent of sins and false gods, America would THRIVE like never before. The 'world' is inherently evil -- press-in to God almighty.

Thank you Lord God, for your grace and mercy on us all, on America.

Also, I think the comment is being made because many have been asleep at the wheel all these years while the leftists have been marching forward. I haven't been; - I've been working on this "revolution" as some are calling it, for 30+ years (more intensely after the internet came along), spending tons of time getting educated (many, many hours of watching C-span) and trying to spread the word and educate others. I remember in the early days of the internet, in the comment sections of the big newspaper articles, writing that "we are a constitutional republic, not a democracy" and literally, no one knew what I was talking about! So, I spent that time on trying to save our republic instead of spending it on making money or having more time with my kids/husband (which I only worked part-time or not at all, outside of the home, while they were young, so I still spent time with them). At the end, I'll face my God about my decisions on how I spent that time, but right now, it seems that it's helped and I'm so glad. A free America means God's words can still be read, spoken and spread across the land.

The nation no doubt dodged a bullet last night. The left ran up to that election telling us where they would strike first. They had lost control of the censorship narrative (mostly thanks to X) and as soon as that pesky election was over they get to cranking on that again (mostly directed at X). If they had won this thing that was the last nail in the coffin.

The magnificent manner in which Trump won really makes them deer in the headlights. I am doubtful the will try anything too over the top (hope).

I didn’t even like Trump when this whole thing started circa 2015. I fell for him shortly after and realized he was the one for the time. I admittedly will tell you when he announced his comeback a couple of years ago I was less than enthused.

After the perverse manner of cheating in 2020 I thought it would be a waste of time. It was done right out in the open for all to see and I couldn’t fathom how we would get by it now. It really does feel like a divine wind is now at our backs.

The forces of darkness, not just leftists but the real masters, were dealt a shocking blow last night. What an amazing and inspiring story we are all a part of.

Yes a huge win with Trump's (and ours) victory in this election. But there is a huge to do list. May we truly understand that "We have only just begun to fight." We must steel ourselves for the fight ahead. "We are not a nation of laws but rather political will." (Steve Deace 2017)

I’m 80 years old and early this morning I got down on my knees and thanked God for letting me live to see this. If I’m soon called it will be much easier to go knowing that the country I love, whose uniform I wore with pride during the Vietnam War, is in very good hands. God bless Trump and God bless America.

I too served but about twenty years after you (1980-83). Many of the SR NCOs had served in Vietnam. My company First SGT Pulla had been granted a "Mustang" promotion / commission to Captain as a company commander and had been court martialed for some issues regarding some Viet Cong prisoners in his custody. Word was that when he retired he got to retire as an O3 instead of his enlisted rank. He was a crazy native American dude that you did not want him pissed at you. What branch were you in?

Tulsi’s lucky. Now that Trump’s been elected she can get off the terrorist watchlist. Had Kamala been elected she probably would have been joined on the watchlist by people like Elon, Tucker, Bret Weinstein and Megyn Kelly. Had Kamala been elected I’m also sure the democrats would have worked to weaponize AI against Trump MAGA and all who oppose them, domestic or foreign. With Trump in charge for the next 4 years though Elon has time to guide the development of his X.AI so that it’ll be committed to curiosity and truth and be a friend to humanity.

And we’re lucky to have Tulsi.

Tulsi’s great. Took a lot of courage her to keep speaking out after she was put on that watchlist. Had Kamala won they might well have started hitting her with their bs “felonies” they way they did Trump. Could have bankrupted her trying to defend herself in court and even ended up in prison. The Democratic Party has become lawless and insane. Thank God they’re on their way out. No more murdered squirrels either. RIP Peanut, the Elon Musk of squirrels. He most likely went to heaven along with his friend Fred the raccoon who was also murdered by the democrats.

Beautiful! I loved the line about “four years of torture and struggle” are over. It really has been hard to watch all the destruction brought upon this country by the Biden clown show of idiots like Mayorkas, Buttigieg, Garland, Letisha James, E. Jean Carroll, Liz Cheney and her bogus committee, etc etc and Biden himself as the biggest incompetent around talking about semi-fascist and white supremacist, just spitting all over the country he was supposed to unite according to his campaign promises. So glad they’re going down in flames. Thank you, God. Never thought Trump would be so victorious. YES, we won!🙌 🌟☝️🗽
