They don’t want to hear the truth…that the Biden family is corrupt. Dems looked like stooges as they tried to question and then wouldn’t let him answer, especially AOC.

They are stooges. I'm being kind.

Yeah, I was being kind. They are much worse, but they were so unhinged my first thought was complete idiotic stooges.

Social media killed the fourth estate, which was a critical piece of governmental oversite. The Fourth Estate has disappeared in most of America, and where it exists, it's become either a left or right advocacy entity.

This story, 30 years ago, would bury a President, but now, is invisible to at least half of the country.

I have no idea of how we can ever comeback from this. Possibly revamp NPR and the entire PBS to require the RNC and DNC to work together to provide stories? Even if it's like the old Crossfire, where divergent views face off in debates?

Otherwise, we're on the road to a global fascist regime, that the left has been working on for years.

I sometimes listen to National Propaganda Radio (NPR) with my worktunes headphones when I’m working on the Kubota doing chores around the property and I cannot believe how they just spew one-sided far-left propaganda without a hint of shame in what they are doing.

While we fund them to do so!

That’s the really galling part, leftists exploiting the government to pump out propaganda on our dime.

Their public funding should be zero. Going from memory here but I believe it is a small fraction of their budget. More interesting are the “brought to you by generosity of the such-and-so-foundation.” You can look up their IRS form 5500 online and it details executive salary, budget, etc.

I only listen to NPR by accident these days, but my favorite time of the NPR year are their quarterly fund drives. It gives me great satisfaction to hear effete liberal nasal voices grovel for money. It’s mostly for show; to give their lemming audience a chance to feel like they’re making a stand against tyranny or whatever.

Honestly, I think that the RNC and DNC working together is possibly the most dangerous next step. That would just complete the circle of a crushing uniparty, authoritarian government. Right now, there is still at least the pretense of opposition (although when it comes to silencing rogue voices or even platforms, like TikTok, suddenly there's 80+% cooperation.)

"Honestly, I think that the RNC and DNC working together.."

Sometimes they do, but in the last (say) 10-15 years they don't. Not Really. Thing is the (post 2008) Democratic Party is not unlike The Democratic Socialists of America.

Actually it was The Little Silicon Chip. Some changes are Good, some Not So Good. BUT I'm 75, the world I grew up in is DEAD...GONE...forgetaboutit. Think what happened when The Printing Press or Steam Engine came along. That Silicon Chip is That Big.

Someone please explain to me how normal people can see this and not understand that the National Socialist Democratic American Party is deeply corrupt.

Is it because they think they’re going to get some government largess out of the deal?

That the fraudulent and fascist far-left will buy their vote with other people’s money?

Looks like Comer can add another charge to the impeachment roll. Turns out that Biden has never reported all of those vacations at billionaires' luxury estates over the last 10 years (maybe more). Since the owners were not home and he paid no rent, these are gifts. May not be impeachable on its own, but shows a pattern of corrupt behavior.

See here for the request to DOJ to investigate:

Does anyone know if vaccines were required to travel internationally, Europe specifically, back in the mid to late 80's? the reason i ask is my mother died of early onset alzheimers, and, i remember her telling me that everything started during her trip to Germany with my father. She said she lost the ability to dream on that trip. it killed her in about 10-11 years at 67 years of age. she was an extremely smart teacher and spoke several languages and then WHAM, at 56 YO sad.

Tucker Carlson's statement " “Tony Bobulinski was Hunter Biden’s business partner and therefore effectively Joe’s" is highly questionable.

After months of investigations trying to find real evidence against President Biden, hard evidence linking him to Hunter Biden's business activities, no such court admissible evidence has been produced. Even many Republican outlets now recognize that the House Oversight Committee investigation has simply failed. For example, see the following.

I did a Google search and found the following report from that radical socialist Democratic leaning magazine Forbes (remember their old slogan "Forbes: Capitalist Tool"):

"Bobulinski, who worked briefly with Hunter Biden in 2017 on a company called Sinohawk, has claimed to possess evidence showing the president profited from his son’s business deals in China, including a widely cited email that allegedly references “10% held by H for the big guy,” which Bobulinski has repeated claimed is a reference to the president.

Bobulinski’s claims have never been verified, however, and multiple other witnesses have told the committee the president was not involved in his son’s business ventures."

He was a party to that deal and he explicitly states that Joe Biden was the big guy. That’s significant evidence of wrongdoing. Many have been prosecuted for less.

Expand full comment

And your verifiable evidence that Joseph Biden was a party to a certain deal and that he was the "big guy" is?

At best all that you have is Bobulinski's interpretation of one email. Sorry, but I think that you need a bit more than that.

As the Forbes article notes, Bobulinski's claims have never been verified and multiple other witnesses have testified that the President was not involved with Hunter Biden's business ventures.

Um…aside from the testimony of one of his business partners and all the emails and text messages and checks…? Have you been paying attention?

I think that I have been paying attention to the whole House Oversight Committee proceedings.

I guess that I just have higher standards of evidence and inference than some.

For the record, here is another link concerning Tony Bobulinski: https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/13/politics/tony-bobulinski-impeachment-investigation/index.html . CNN repeatedly notes that Bobulinski's claims are simply unverified.

Expand full comment

Higher standards of evidence than direct and unambiguous testimony by a business partner that was a party to the deal and has numerous communications supporting his story? How do you explain all of the shell companies? How do you explain all of the checks that Joe Biden received right after Hunter was paid by his various foreign business partners in China, Ukraine, and Russia? How do you explain the obvious references to Joe Biden in the email chains? Come on, man!

Expand full comment

I have no doubt that Bobulinski said what he said. What I doubt is Bobulinski's credibility as a witness and hence the truth of what he has said,

As Representative Raskin noted, Bobulinski's testimony of Joseph Biden's involvement with Hunter Biden's businesses has been contradicted by multiple other witnesses.

Bobulinski simply is a rather problematic witness. Anything he says must be corroborated. For example, here is an article which paints a rather negative picture of Bobulinski: https://newrepublic.com/article/178960/republican-witness-hunter-biden-impeachment-tony-bobulinski-past

I see that your approach to this is very different from mine. I would ask this question about your “legalistic” approach:

Many cold murder cases have now been solved and prosecuted based on DNA testing technology that was not available previously. There was not enough evidence to convict then. Are the killers only guilty now because of new evidence? Or were they always guilty of murder, even though prosecutors couldn’t prove it at the time?

Expand full comment

Of course there is a difference between my having commit a crime and the law finding me guilty of having commit a crime. For example, I will always believe that OJ murdered Nichole Simpson and Ron Goldman. However in the criminal trial OJ was found innocent.

Of course there are cases where long after a crime new evidence is produced showing a person’s guilt. If they have not previously been found innocent, they can be tried and the new evidence can be introduced into court. If they have previously been tried and found innocent, they cannot be retried.

Expand full comment

And that is the point. The lack of evidence sufficient to convict does not mean that the suspect did not commit the crime. Maybe I misunderstand, but all of your comments seem to be trying to convince us that if there is insufficient evidence to bring a case in court, there is no “there” there.

(1) The House Oversight Committee is investigating the possible impeachment of President Biden. If it happens, that would be a legal proceeding. Hence my stress on legal standards are quite appropriate.

(2) Even in a looser context, the committee has failed to make its case. Again, they have simply failed to establish that President Biden was involved in Hunter Biden's business dealings. If anything, numerous credible witnesses have sworn under oath that he was not and the key Republican witness who testified to the contrary has been indicted for perjury.
