Thanks for posting this interview. So much was exposed that afterwards it made me feel afraid. Migration, Chinese invasion, CA people leaving in droves, the ‘west’ seems sick and acts as if a parasite is draining our morals. Our government along with UN is funding this huge migration with no end in sight nor a way to accommodate or offer jobs for their livelihood. Chinese males in huge numbers are mixing in with these migrants. News systems are silent about the complexity. Millions of people are not a minor change, but a threat to our stability. It’s so obvious and yet Congress seems happy just to spend billions with no oversight or good outcomes and never discuss the crimes committed. We need to wake up to what’s going on and it’s much worse than just migration. UN is making migration seem an easy journey; however, many are robbed, raped, and harmed. The environment through this path is greatly threatened with trash everywhere and animals are basically unseen. The invasion of Chinese males wouldn’t be here without permission from China. Our government uses no accountability for the thousands that cross every day even though we have biometric tools that could help build a database.

I thought right after 9/11 that the federal government would have to seal the border.

The government has long ago past the point at which the American people, realizing it no longer served them, had a moral right to "alter or abolish it." The fact that we even have laws against insurrection would have appalled Thomas Jefferson.

I've watched and listened to perhaps 100s of interviews over the last four years. This, Tucker/Weinstein, is the most important and scariest. And that, considering what we've all been exposed to recently, and where Weinstein comes from intellectually, is horrifying.

I agree Doug. As I watched this I thought of Kamala Harris and her ‘root cause’ of migration investigation 2 years ago. She made it as far as Guatemala, then came back to USA and played up the migrants were all from countries north of Panama. Not a peep about the Darien Gap from her.

Bret (and writer Michael Yon) are starting to pull on a much larger story, that Bret says at this time ‘has no name’.

Journalists Ben Bergquam, Oscar "El Blue" Ramirez and Michael Yon have been covering the Darien Gap phenomenon for years. The Bret Weinstein interview with Tucker adds unique, valuable perspective and analysis. I do regret that Mr. Weinstein did not acknowledge the years of fine journalism reporting--including videos of their own risk-to-life-treks through the entire length of the Darien Gap. Ben and Oscar reported words from the migrants themselves while journeying through terrain hostile to humans, even if "prepared"--which no migrant ever is. Michael Yon's extensive, global military combat reporting, intel and photographing is unparalleled analysis.

Thanks for the recommendations and insight that there are many others before Bret to look at this. In the interview, Bret does state that it was Michael that invited him to in-person view of the Transit Camps, and Bret shared his familiarity with the area as he and his wife worked on an island in the middle of the Panama Canal (biology work) many years back. I'm now interested to look deeper into Ben, Oscar and Michael's reporting on Darien Gap. I think Michael is also likely to expand his journalistic work to track back where the majority of migrants are coming from, upon arrival in Ecuador, and then more importantly, who/what is funding those trips to the Central America start point. Is this the bigger story yet to be told?

So far, everything called a conspiracy theory over the last handful of years, has turned out to be nothing more than spoiler alerts! Those calling our concern about being invaded a conspiracy theory, are going to be mightily surprised when we are once again, proved correct. Too bad at that point it just might be too late!

The stupidity of the Biden administration is beyond belief. Apparently it knows no bounds. This is stupidity on a cosmic level. They say they care about the environment, but look what’s happening to the environment in the jungles of Panama. What Brett said about a highway going through the Darien gap and how that will lead to the forest/ jungle being destroyed as an ecosystem is appalling. The whole Biden enterprise of bringing almost two million unvetted people into US from 170 countries per year is crazy. A Dem argument against impeaching Mayorkas is that he’s just following the policies of the Biden administration? Well, they’re both breaking the law, so impeach them both. Biden‘s policy is pro invasion—that’s got to be unconstitutional. Didn’t he take a vow to protect and defend? I don’t see either one of those things happening. Doesn’t the second amendment say that in order to ensure the security of the state the right to bear arm shall not be infringed? A sovereign state is supposed to be secure, not insecure and open to invasion.

There is nothing we can do but you assume the left is winning. They’re not winning. They’re destroying. That’s not winning. That’s insanity. I believe the wild card here is the incredibly rapid advance of AI. That’s the only thing powerful enough to get control of all of our out of control problems. For whatever reason, AI sails past most people like water off a duck’s back. Ray Kurzweil is one of the most well known and respected AI researchers in the world but most on Sasha’s site have no interest in who he is or what he’s saying about AI. It is what it is though. I’m old enough to not be surprised about anything that happens in our fallen and very strange world.

Western anti-Westernism means what it says. Its objective is to damage the West. The West has been weaponized against itself. And that is very convenient for the Chinese. Chinese elites are patriotic. Western elites are anti-patriotic. Their main objective at this point is to protect themselves against "peasant revolt", which has become how they view democracy. China's "elite capture" is congruent with the self-interests of Western elites. Both now have a common enemy: the ordinary people of the West.

I will check out this Kurzweil guy. But any AI has to begin with values or objectives, and, last I knew, Lefties were trumpeting how "woke" AI is, or rather how "woke" it has been programmed to be.

Sorry, but what I read on Wikipedia (more closely the second time than the first time) was not impressive. His successful AI programs were "limited-purpose" rather than "general-purpose". His predictions were dismissed as "unfalsifiable". And his argument about "living forever" is a text-book example of an "all things being equal" argument being deployed in a situation where this condition is, almost certainly, not met: the aging process must in time reduce, to less than a year, the amount of life-expectancy that can be added with every year of life. I am quite familiar with the "all things being equal" semi-fallacy in historical linguistics, where it seems there is hardly a significant argument that does not use it. (I admit that I myself may not be entirely blameless in this regard ...Maybe making invalid "all things being equal" arguments is an occupational hazard in the field.) With luck, bad luck, I may live to see his "living forever" argument falsified. At this point, only the idlest of idle curiosity produces in me any interest in living to see the future. I am locally (quite locally) notorious for being Mr. Doom and Gloom.

But I will check out "this Elon guy" ... Maybe he (and his AI) will strike me as better.

It is real though and has so much momentum in back of it that it’s taken on a life of its own and cannot be stopped. Plus I trust people like Ray Kurzweil vastly more than I trust Sleepy Joe and the democrats plus if you develop something like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s you’ll be praying to God to make AI advanced enough to save you from your dreadful fate.

I definitely don’t trust Joe. But I also worry that AI will be used for nefarious purposes. I’m more aligned with the natural world and don’t feel very comfortable in our rapidly advancing technocracy, it’s too much too soon and I don’t think the world is ready for it. Like you say it’s taken on a life of its own, and that definitely doesn’t make me feel good. My dad died from Parkinson’s, so I agree that a cure would be great. But more so I’d like to find its root cause (Alzheimer’s too, though I think that’s most likely from heavy metal poisoning), which I believe is from our highly chemicalized world we live in.

But how about the fact that those who rule us are quite insane? The two most powerful men on earth are Joe who is Woke and has dementia and China’s President Xi who admires Mao. This is just not working at all plus there’s Mother Nature who could destroy us all at any time with something like a super volcano plus any one of us could develop a deadly disease or chronic pain or chronic fatigue at any time. For a great many people our world is simply hell. I also recommend watching what Elon has to say about this.

Oscar Blue Ramirez is a Mexican journalist who covers the flood of migrants coming to the US. He supports Trump and is horrified by what the democrats have done with the border that enables the trafficking of children into the country by the cartels who control the southern border. In this video he interviews the leader of a caravan who says these countries along the caravan route are fueling this and it’s been weaponized to harm the US by these countries including Mexico. He says he’s stunned by how stupid the United States is. So am I. Quite a damning interview. Many of the white people they interview say we need to do everything we can to help them. It seems to me that abortion is running the show, the right are hell bent on stopping it and their drive to control women's lives will cost them all our lives.

The right sees it as murder. The left sees it as a woman’s right. I’m pro-choice but the left has so warped the issue that I could never side with them plus the left has also severely warped every issue from immigration to education to policing to the military to meritocracy. Is there any issue they haven’t “inverted” as Bret Weinstein so accurately calls it? What good will it do for pro-choice women to win if it means the country they live in collapses and is destroyed? This is something they simply don’t understand since they only focus on this one issue and pretty much ignore the fact that the country they live in is disintegrating.

Yes, Seva. Great retort. I simply cannot understand these woman hyper focused on abortion as the world crumbles around them.

This interview is exceptionally insightful. There are too many red flags to suggest mere coincidence. The trend lines instead suggest malicious intent. It was chilling to hear Brett Weinstein state that he wasn’t sure how much time we have to try and rectify this. Our American borders could be secured today. We have a legal humane process that allows safe and migration into our country. Many people have secured legal status by using that process. If the President wont enforce these existing laws, then the Congress should be drafting and proposing new legislation. They won’t because most of the President’s party are gutless and hide behind his executive orders. Let them come to the podium in the chamber and tell the American public why they support this invasion.

This is no time for timidity or naïveté. The devil is at the door and we want to see some guts, grit and determination to abide by the oaths that each of them took to protect our nation.

Thanks for posting Sasha. This is terrifying in so many dimensions. It is obvious that a nuclear or military conquest of the USA makes no sense, so how best to do it? Infiltrate academia, Media, Govt through groupthnk and money, then develop population control trough infiltration and eventual genocidal cleansing. Control the country's resources through occupation and displaced serfs. The Belt and road initiative had the Eurasian resources well in hand - and is executing beautifully with the cooperation of the elitists in the BRICS nations. This interview highlights phase 2 of the Chinese strategy to dominate the planet. We all have a responsibility to get this to our elected officials and vote Trump as our last hope to shut this down. And hopefully dismiss the UN while we're at it.

But something so bizarre and wildly insane could not have happened in a sane and functional society. It’s the Woke virus, that Elon calls a “mind virus,” that destroyed our cultural immune system and allowed all these pathologies to flourish. America is like a beautiful but mortally wounded leopard in the jungle being preyed upon by scavengers as she lays dying.

One of my favorite journalists at the WSJ is Holman Jenkins. Here’s what he had to say about the left in an article: “The charge of ‘systemic racism’ is their obsession. Using the word rightly, however, ‘systemic’ in America has been our attempt to protect individual rights against the immoral chaos of nature, including human nature, from which all kinds of racial and other irrational hatred emerge. This may be a losing battle in the long run - nature will prevail, civilization won’t.”

Some excerpts below from a Quillette review of a book about the irrational side of human nature. The last one says: “One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.” That sure is the truth. Are we in a “Dark Age” where reason is in retreat? Certainly does seem so.

“Mackay makes the case, often in gory detail, that episodes of collective mania seem to be an inevitable consequence of human nature. Humans in every time and place have cast aside their better judgment and allowed themselves to be caught up in all manner of irrational hoopla.“

“His chapters on the Swabian Peasants’ War and Anabaptist uprisings are terrifying depictions of the end-times frenzy that wreaked havoc on northern Europe throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. The distance between these events in the German-speaking world and, say, the Reign of Terror in France or the Chinese Cultural Revolution is not that great. And the speed with which apparently reasonable people moved from the embrace of a new theological idea to a willingness to torture those whose own theological ideas diverged even slightly is startling.“

“There is plenty to recommend about The Delusions of Crowds. It is laden with great anecdotes and the writing is always engaging. One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.”
