Thanks Sasha, love the Tucker links. As for the move, I sure hope you managed to escape California...

Alas, I did not escape California so my vote still doesn't count. I really need to locate to a swing state.

Dang, you belong in the Midwest. I moved to Iowa 13 years ago after Michigan, Colorado, NOLA, Vegas and NY. It's what this country used to be like 100 plus years ago.........in a good way.

Loved NOLA but it was always meant to be short term. Damn, I sure miss that food! 🎉

If Katrina hadn't blown me out, I'd for sure have been dead by now. That City has way too many temptations.

SStone, hey maybe I missed it, but a great article would be to hear your fullest journey from being liberal/left to now being what,.... libertarian conservative free-thinking? Why do you think you made that conversion when SO many cannot. What was the catalyst, was it religion, or exposure to a really articulate romantic relationship, a grandparent's wisdom?

I just think the analysis is worth the effort that we ALL might learn from it....as we approach others. Thx Sasha.

South Dakota with its zero state tax and freedom. Rapid City is very similar to northern Cali in terms of weather. Sioux Falls is a beautiful area, but a little colder in the winter. Total freedom and wonderful midwestern People.

As far as I can tell, her policy views are, like mine, merely Near Left or rather anti-(Left-wing) Extremist. I have not changed my views on anything (except abortion) since I was a teenager in the 70s. (And my new and improved views on abortion have played no role in my party-switch.) Note that I said "policy views", as opposed to "interpretation views".

I agree with second video to a point. We are a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy, but the majority of the Electoral College is the winner. I’d like to see Gov Abbott do more at border, but in reality our state cannot imprison millions and Biden administration won’t allow deportation. The Border Patrol would love to deport, but are forced to process and release, unless a criminal record can be found and then turned over to ICE (from there who knows what happens, probably nothing). Many runaways (criminals) are protected by safe houses manned by the Cartels. Many processed are sent to facilities again protected. If we could use National Guard to do more than help process, it’d be better but basically same result. Blame Mayorkas and Biden. Gov Abbott is fighting to keep river buoys in place and of course the feds are trying to stop. Wiring was placed where no wall was installed and feds removed. Every attempt has been hamstrung. AG Paxton was winning some important battles against Biden regime and look what happened. Bush RINOs in Tx Legislature trying hard to remove him. How ‘dare’ Paxton beat George P Bush. Bush establishment hard at work and not faring well. We need Paxton to stay as AG. We elected him and need him.

When I first heard that Tucker was fired from Fox I was extremely disappointed. Not now however, he is stronger than ever and is able to do the interviews he wants and say what he wants. Fox is basically done like dinner. The thing I admire most about him is that he is not afraid to take on anybody and that includes most of the GOP who are in bed with the rest of the DC neocons and the military industrial complex. Heaven help your nation, goodness knows up here in Canada Mr. Freeze (little Justin) has basically destroyed this once great country.

Given that, according to the GAO, our current level of deficit spending "un-sustainable", it seems quite possible that we will give up on selling enough bonds to finance that level of spending, and instead resort to printing money. If this happens, we will not be very different from Argentina. And since Demos refuse to admit that their experiment in "Modern Monetary Theory" was a (predictable) failure, why would they be against "Same Song, Second Verse, Could Get Better But It's Gonna Get Worse"?

What I heard is there are ~47M people in Argentina and only 7M work in private sector. Then another 3.5M work for government. The rest do not work. Of the rest, about 25% are non working age (0 to 17), or about another 11.75M underaged.

This means approx. 25M are not working, and what Javier Melei calls ‘parasites’. I am not making this up. 1 private sector worker for every 3.5 adult non workers in Argentina. That isn’t sustainable, and youth are voting with their feet. The fact that there is a black market for one fiat currency (US dollars) for another fiat currency (Argentine Peso) should also tell you the kids are not okay in Argentina. And can be canary in coal mine for other countries moving more and more into socialism
