I always thought I gave both sides fair consideration, but for me, everything changed with that first open, unabashed and unapologetic expression of disdain for half of America. First it was “they cling to their guns and bibles…“ followed by they‘re a “basket of deplorables.”

I never thought they were talking about me in particular, but they were talking about half of America and all of a sudden, it pissed me off so much that I wanted to be one of “them!”

So it is, and so it shall be.

My husband, now ex, and I we watching TV when the deplorable comment was made. Like you, I knew it didn't apply to me but was appalled. I turned to my husband and said that comment would cause big changes in our nation. He laughed, dismissively, at me, and called me crazy. We have since divorced. I'm afraid or nation is headed the same way.... irreconcilable differences.

I saw it live too and I heard the laughter in the audience. I knew immediately it could be the end for her, and that the tide will turn once it gets out. I still remember that exact moment. There was something profound about it.

I have never owned a gun and never will and I am not a Christian. But, oh boy, when Clinton said that, it sounded just awful.

I thought it was a political suicide, but she is alive and well, was hired to teach at Columbia and heads a not-for-profit. Do the law enforcement agencies question what organizations and countries, including the US adversaries, make contributions to their company and how they are spent? All we know from publicly available info is that Bill and Hillary pay Chelsey about 1 million $$ in annual salary to manage the corrupt enterprise. But the justice system is more interested in a small hush payment to a porn star, not in Clintons dealings.

There is an old Russian proverb «ЗАКОН — ЧТО ДЫШЛО: КУДА ПОВЕРНЁШЬ — ТУДА И ВЫШЛО ". A little hard to translate, but here is a version: “the law is what the drawbar is: where you turn, that’s where it goes”. It was always true for Russia and USSR and still is. But never in my life I expected to see it here in the US.

We don't need an executive order to secure the border. We're a country. Being a country means you protect your border and, up until 4 years ago, we managed to do that without any kind of order, executive or otherwise. Non-citizens, including permanent legal residents, cannot vote in federal, state, and most local elections. Some people cannot vote after being convicted of a felony.

Expand full comment

How do you know that is truth? We have vote by mail, counting conducted in private, and States sending ballots to any person who has a US address and contacts a Federal agency. If we don’t return to in-person voting there will not be trust in Federal elections again in my lifetime. That's what happens after (2020) POTUS election, one candidate was ahead in count when we all went to bed, and was behind when we all woke up. This smelled like a bag of shit then, as it does now. In that Y2020 election, everything was vote by mail because of the scamdemic. Which meant States that had never done this before, sent out ballots to everyone, including the dead. Then these ballots were counted with plenty of social distancing, especially in deep blue precincts like Philly and other swing States. People wonder why citizens showed up in DC on J6. This is the reason.

Expand full comment

I know that has been true. But congress was in talks not just several weeks ago to grant them the right to vote in local elections. https://nypost.com/2024/05/23/us-news/house-advances-bill-to-prevent-noncitizens-from-voting-in-dc/. I see this as a slippery slope situation. First, they start with having their residence count as part of the census. Then they follow that with the ability to influence local elections through voting It is then a short step to allowing them to vote federally. Especially since most election law is governed by the states. And states administer things very differently from each other. I work the polls in my state. I know how 'loosy goosy' things can get.

I've noted that the so called rhinos banished at least temporarily from maga like Susan Collins, Nikki, Mitch, even Bill Barr to some extent, Tucker behind the scenes, who have said terrible things about Trump (like his election lie, his fitness for office) have now all come around given that Trump is the presumptive nominee and they evidently want to continue their positions of power or in Coco Chow's husband's case, avoid another Biden presidency in order to retain at least some modicum of self respect.

Bush Jr. no longer seeks that type of power but doesn't seem to want to rock the boat too much. Democrats are fanatics and are only afraid of not being able to do enough to destroy those who oppose them. One of the most damaging things they’ve done is the demonizing of “Whiteness!” which promotes racial hatred and racial attacks on white people. This has destroyed the cohesion of our society and is making it ever more dysfunctional and ungovernable. Streeterville is a trendy neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. This white couple was attacked by wilding black teens Friday night because they’re white. This is just not working at all. This is obviously not a country.

“So a group of non-demonized yutes ran wild in Streeterville over the weekend, attacking and beating a married couple out on a date night.”

Fox 32 has the report here, but there doesn't seem to be a print report with it.

The non-demonized yutes beat the husband pretty extensively, then caught the wife and beat her badly enough that she ended up miscarrying her pregnancy. The only two arrested were a 17 year old female and a 14 year old male among a group of a few dozen claiming they "owned the streets."

“Crimesha refused felony charges so only misdemeanor charges were lodged and as far as we can tell, no one remained in custody for more than a few minutes.”

Might be worth moving (far) away from Chicago, Seva. It’s not likely to improve soon. And there was another article in the Chicago Tribune about how their public schools completely under-educate and over-spend. Some of the public schools have a 1 to 1 ratio of students to employees there.

Expand full comment

Here’s a Second City Cop article from June 2 about the schools. We are ruled by people who are quite literally insane and this includes the federal government and much of the rest of the country so where would I go? Would you recommend Philly?

• The Chicago Teachers Union isn’t limiting its extreme contract demands to 9% annual wage increases and carbon-free schools. It also wants teacher control over curriculum in a way that could keep parents in the dark over what their children are being taught.
Among the union’s 700-plus proposed contract provisions, CTU is demanding teachers be able to reject any district-provided curriculum to “choose what works best for students.”
That includes any state-mandated curriculum related to “Black history, genocide and Holocaust study, Disability Rights Movement, LGBTQ contributions, culturally responsive teaching and learning standards, Reparations Won, CPS on interdisciplinary latin american [sic] studies, TEEACH ACT, Native American history, and antiracist curriculum, etc.”
The demands also include a provision that “teachers shall not be coerced, retaliated against, or disciplined for using their preferred curriculum and materials.”

We can also safely assume the things that parents can't know about include "child grooming," "what's your kink?" and the ever popular "sex with a student" day.

This is all supported by Porky and the Springfield Perverts.

“Indoctrination Camps.”

That’s all the public schools are any more:

A serious crackdown on crime would have a “disparate impact” on blacks and therefore be considered “racist” and unacceptable. Heather MacDonald has written a lot about this and says this “disparate impact” ideology is destroying our civilization. That sure is the truth. Even our medical schools are being dumbed down for the sake of Equity aka Equal Outcomes.

“Editor’s Note: America is at war. This is not a traditional war, fought on a battlefield against an external enemy. It is a civilizational conflict against an internal enemy: the group quota regime, a revolutionary threat that seeks to reorganize American society around the principle of outcome equality — what the regime’s partisans call “equity.”

“This cold civil war may go unnoticed by many day-to-day, but its stakes are often as high as life and death. Here, Roger B. Cohen, a celebrated oncologist and professor in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, explains how the group quota regime has taken hold of the American medical education system and asks urgent questions about the consequences for medicine, for the sick, and for the country.”

Excellent article. In fact my husband retired recently from the practice of family medicine for many of those reasons. He stayed independent but most of his colleagues and especially young doctors are joining large hospital practices where you are an “employed” physician, and thus beholden to their rules. The “woke” mentality prevails, even to official opinions from the AMA and the AAP (pediatricians) that children should not be denied access to “gender affirming” care. He was asked to write a recommendation for a surgeon friend of his, and several of the questions involved whether the applicant cooperated with the use of gender pronouns with his current patients. The medical industry is unfortunately captured by wokism, which can only result in a downgrading of patient care and the failure of our once renowned medical system.

I’m retired but once a Mexican friend (I stayed in touch with him) at work (CNC machinery) in Chicago told me he went to see a doctor for a foot pain problem but when he saw the doctor was a black guy he felt he’d just wasted his time. Why such low confidence in black doctors? Because he knew affirmative action rigged the system to achieve equal outcomes. Ability counts for far less than having a skin color that gives you bonus points for being an “under represented minority.” And this was easily 10 years ago. Things are vastly worse now.
