I'm sorry, Sasha. I had to stop listening during the Jan 6 montage of Biden and Harris.

Because the elections have already been compromised and the country taken.

Maybe we should FIRST stop with the racist moniker of ‘woman of color’. I don’t care. She’s a lying viper, in my opinion. She pushes marxist ideology and panders to the muslims. Stop letting wicked people define the rules of engagement. Basically, she represents everything we shouldn’t want for our REPUBLIC.

Yeah, but like it or not, in our feminized, shockingly stupid current society, Trump just cannot keep on with the kind of self destructive horsesh*t he's been trafficking in for the last couple of weeks. I was furious on Thursday as a neighbor and I listened to Trump's press conference. There he was, talking about how dumb Kackles is and how brilliant he is. Incredible. I started screaming, "You f*cking idiot, you won't be contented until you've blown this election, will you?!??"

Somebody has to talk to the 78 year old child. He has the issues on his side. Here are three could - have - been Republican nominees who, had one of them been the choice, would have conducted a smart, disciplined campaign, and would have won:

J.D. Vance

Ron deSantis

Josh Hawley

Too late now, of course. If his children and their mates, who are impressive people, can't get through to him, we're screwed.

Expand full comment

I agree completely with your Trump critique. He has to win. But he also, as Sasha describes, stop the childish stuff and hammer her on the issues. All the polling is on his side regarding inflation, immigration, crime, foreign policy and even preferences -- Americans think his four years were better than Biden's. Treat Kamala respectfully but really highlight the issues Americans are mad about.

Expand full comment

On the other hand, Kackles has been denigrating Trump for eight straight years. Why doesn't THAT bother you?

Step back and take a look. The entire democrat playbook against Trump is built on hatred and persecution. The democratic party has been the party of institutional racism for the entire span of its existence. Sure, Kackles is democrat and a 'person of color.' Some presume that all those 'people of color' in the democratic party proves it's not racist. Au contrere. Democrats ran slavery back in the day, and they frequently used black slaves as the overseer of the plantation. How does that work? Simple. The master chooses a slave who is willing to sell out his fellow slaves and be their overseer, answering only to his democrat master. Even as slaves, overseers had a pretty nice life. That's how it was then, that's how it is now.

Yes! All these people think it's ok for leftists to threaten to kill him, to call him stupid, Hitler, all this. But Republicans never push back. How did that work for Romney and McCain? This guy is a fighter, he's a regular person with all his flaws, and people who are voting for him know that. He's always expanding the tent. He appeals to Hispanics and it appears they are our future. Trump is tilting at windmills trying to stop this probably, we don't need all these people above helping to drag him down when if they kept their mouths shut, we might have a chance at this. Democrats stick together but THIS is what they do. Drag down our own. Democrats would help to reframe what he said. NO talking head will attack Kamala, but Trump has to put up with responding to treatment no president or politician ever has -- lies, weaponization of our justice dept, threats to his life--and you people attack him, too. Well Trump isn't a politician. If you want one, just wait four years and you'll get one of those to lose for you. But he'll be smooth.

Expand full comment

Yes but if Trump didn’t play the same way they would look even worse. Because he does they both look bad and then it becomes an even race of filth. He should take the high road so their slanderous tactics look juvenile. We had adult problems that need adult solutions, and Trump needs to be the adult in the room so that hopefully more people see the children on the left.

Expand full comment

The left are nothing but big schoolyard bullies. They use censorship to control the narrative and fear to control any that might disagree with them. Bullying 101. When you stand up to a bully by bullying them back then people get confused as to who really is to blame, who really is the bully, and then they don’t properly stop the actual bully. The bullied WANT you to bully them back. That’s how they get away with what they do, because it’s human nature to throw your hands up and say “you’re both to blame” and the bully walks away laughing to live another day to be cruel. But when you don’t use the same tactics eventually people WILL see who the real bully is, then all that’s left us to deal with those too afraid to speak against them.

it bothers me, but I bet a lot of folks are going to vote for the "Adult" in the race.

I agree he could do better, but no, JD Vance, Ron DeSantis or Josh Hawley would not win running a "disciplined" campaign. He's always done as well as he has because he's never been a politician, yet that's what you want now.

Agreed. Win or lose, like Sasha always says at the end of each of her pieces: “to thine own self be true”

If he did any of things all the wizards of smart are recommending, I would know that he has been “handled” and it’s all over. He will have been vanquished.

Expand full comment

Not being a politician won him an election. And lost an election for him. It's a great strength and a great weakness. He's in a game you cannot win. He needs to change the game, and that starts with being an adult and hammering her on 4 more years of awful unrestrained spending and open borders. Policies not personalities. Everyone can she is's goofy, dont' need to point it out.

Expand full comment

I hope he gets a bit more disciplined. And he needs to get some good ads out there on policy. But you don't get the good without the rest of him that is still better than any other republican would be doing. He appeals to Hispanics and all minority men. Mostly because they don't want to hear politicians anymore. Or this feminine garbage. But I hope he does get some good ads out there and sticks to issues in the debate like he did with Biden. He does not, though, have to seem "nice."

The campaign slogans should be "give us 40 more years - maybe we'll fix SOMETHING". I’ve spent more time watching MSM the past few weeks (barf bucket right next to me, yes it got filled). Because I could not understand the phenomenon. I kept asking myself, “did they forget what just happened to Biden? Feinstein? These icons just tossed without a wipe?” Pelosi will be upcoming…I realized after reading some Michael Moore musings that these people are addicted to self hate because they ARE the systemic racism. They are doing the white savior thing and the entire time “bless your heart” and a subconscious pat on the head of the “African American Harris” will make them feel better. I know what it’s like to be pandered to by people like that. I was born with spina bifida and the dripping of pity goo made me feel all fuzzy as a child. But it gave me a helluva bullshit meter. And as an adult I can smell shit like that a mile away. But that kinda pandering leads to such self hatred that once a self hating person like Moore finds, well, MORE like him, he gets a little dopamine hit of joy. So do the white dudes and the white moms or whatever. We will survive Harris Walz, but it’ll be ugly. And before anyone gives me a MAGA hat, I think Trump is a buffoon, too. But at least he acts like a leader and lives like one.

It' one of the creepiest things I've ever encountered!!

Expand full comment

Well said, Kate. Yeah, this weird "victimology" dynamic--which involves not just the presumed victims, but all of those who, either knowingly or unknowingly, embrace the responsibility and therefore guilt associated with the act of victimization--has to be better understood. Today, victimology, perhaps, than any other idea or concept, informs our thinking, often without us being fully aware of it. It has been internalized in our thoughts to a surprising degree, including in the comments of many on this site.

The photo hasn’t been “forgotten.” It’s been memory-holed by the democrats and their media but is still well remembered by the sane half of the country which includes Elon Musk, a visionary genius up there with men like Tesla, Edison and Einstein. The reason why his company is so amazing is because it’s based on meritocracy and Elon knows enough about every field he deals with that he can immediately tell by interviewing a person whether or not he or she is a good fit for the job. Perfect example is the woman he interviewed to run Space X. He knows enough about rockets to know she understood them and it turned out she was ideally suited for the job.

In fact, all they have to say now is 'Bear' and smirk. Yet, when the US congress took up the Warren Report again, years later, they determined that 'more likely than not, there was more than one person involved.' So, the US congress believes there was a conspiracy. The US government sometimes lies (about killing RFK Jr.'s uncle. How about those released records, and deadlines past? what happened to those?.

Yes, plus his "private life," that is, his treatment of women, has been barbaric. Trump may be a free range lecher, but at least he seems to do right by his castoffs.

The story of how RFK, Jr., treated his wife, Mary Kennedy, is shocking. His behavior makes Uncle Ted's at the time of Chappaquiddick seem at least understandable, the action of a nervous drunk who should have done time for second degree homicide, who was far too dumb and irresponsible ever to have been President, but someone to whom it's hard retrospectively to impute malice.

There is no damned excuse, no explanation from which understanding of human frailty can possibly be squeezed out as a credible plea, which can possibly be made for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr's treatment of Mary Kennedy.

There's an interesting podcast, Behind the Bastards, which sometimes I can take but which I'd recommend with caution. Their recent four part series on RFK, Jr, coupled with the recent revelation of the Central Park bear follies, makes me think the unthinkable, that I'd rather have Kackles win than Kennedy.

Everything, huh? including the Warren Report with the fired former CIA guy contributing?

This is what I think. One anecdote without credential, does not equal a mass kids death plague. I repeat. the schools should not have been closed for in some dark blue state cases, for years. online and/or on-phone is not the same, although those tech companies that benefitted no doubt said thank you very much$. more at home mandates the merrier.

I think the mediocre and below doctors LOVED your inference/demand that they should never be questioned. LOVED it. censor hose who asked questions, right? Even though hundreds of thousands of misdiagnoses every year end in death or disability. the doctor is above you. He is science. you little peasant. STFU. you can't know. take the vax. wear the mask. (but...if the vax worked so well, why another and why another and why the mask?) STFU, right? you love that cause only conspiracy theorists ask questions of their superiors, the unquestioned holy men, like Dr Fauci. Right? BS.

In my local area, my local TV news had a go to wuss Dr. named Dr. Chin-Hong. Every time maybe there would be a slight increase in freedom, so he would be summoned, with a leading question, 'they're talking foolishly about not mandating the mask and three vaxes any more...but I think I should keep wearing my mask? Am I right to do so?' and he would dutifully answer each and every time (AND HE IS STILL DOING IT RIGHT NOW!!!). "of course, you're going to absolutely risk your death and others, so if I were you I would continue social distancing and getting that 4th vax and wearing two masks forever.' 'thanks, Dr. Chin-Hong!' my pleasure, etc.

Luckily, we have this other go to person, named Dr Monica Gandhi who is much more reasonable. So the rare TV station that is allowed to ask HER, such as 'can we go out in public and celebrate ...the new year, the 4th of July...?' and only she, NEVER Dr. Chin Hong, only she will talk about the community immunity levels being increased making it absolutely okay to go outside and away from your beloved home and phone to live your life.

Loved it when the presumptive VP said something along the lines of 'mind your own business.' or was it 'leave us the hell alone'? Civil liberties use to matter to the blue team. doing your own thing, dancing to the beat of your own drum. thinking for yourself. asking questions. used to be anti-war too. all replaced by morbid conformity and shouting down dissent. You, Brent, are the reason for the change. thanks a bleep of a lot.

There's no real evidence that this woman has polling data, or public enthusiasm behind her, to suggest she can win the election. These polls are part of the wide ranging Psyop of the regime/media adjunct propaganda apparatus. This is being done to depress Trump supporters, if possible, and to make a 'horse race' of the campaigns, with the ultimate goal of gaslighting and warping the situation after the democrats have cheated and stolen the election again. Cheating is the only way they can win. As before. I think Trump will win the election, if he has adequate personal protection. But winning may not help, as before, if the election is stolen again. Preventing that, is to me, the key element here, and not by allowing the democrats to define the narrative, which you are actually promulgating with this essay today. I voted for him twice and will a third time but DAMN I’m tired of the Pee Wee Herman “I know you are but what am I? “ routine. No one gives a shit what his golf score is or how many people were at his last appearance. Bear down, point out the Democrats failings and win.

At least the juvenile doesn't want to destroy us. The same cannot be said of the adult Miss Harris and Mr Walz.

He may be an assh*le, but he's our assh*le.

That made me LOL Bobby! There’s a lotta truth to that and I bet if Trump used that on t shirts he’d get a few more votes.

The interesting thing about a narcissist is he is driven to succeed. If he is elected, Trump will once again have a great presidency, in part because he could not bear failure. I want the things he will count as success.

All politicians are narcissists, Kamala included. To paraphrase what someone wrote earlier, Trump may be a narcissist, but he is our narcissist.

Tough to argue there!

Better the devil we know than the one who we have no clue is or what she believes in. Warts and all Trump puts it out there. Despite being a heart beat away from the Oval Office for three years now, Harris still has not released her platform. (You’d think she had some kind of emergency plan.) Of course we have her prior statements which are not selling too well. No worries, soon with the help of the media, a brand new Harris will emerge like a beautiful butterfly and all that old nasty rhetoric will have been erased. Weird indeed.

Her platform is what they tell her. I just wish we knew who THEY were for real. It’s the one thing I cannot compute.

Narcissistic people can't stand it when people are real. Adults? Give me a break. You all prefer good talkers to real people. Get used to being a slave.

hate to break this to my red team friends, but it's you guys' turn now to worry about dementia. I mean, he really can't tell the difference between Willie Brown and Jerry Brown? we need cognitive testing! uh, for the good of our country. how long has Beardo Vance known about this? wonder can he differentiate between James Brown and Alton Brown? What happens at Christmas? is it 'Good Grief, Antonio Brown'?

No arguement there but my blue team friends need to worry about who’s really running the show cause it ain’t Joe and Kamala ain’t got a clue. The Dems are gonna run the same Ponzi for her as they did Joe. Hide her, don’t give press conferences, remake her.

The dem media runs the campaigns for democrats now, not the candidate. Kari Lake vs Katie Hobbs for governor of Arizona was another perfect example of that.

Katie Hobbs got a significant assist from the McCain "Republicans" in Maricopa County.

not sure it this was an accurate story. He did fly in some airborne vehicle w/ Willie Brown (not Jerry Brown)- but -- not threat to life from what I heard. So- you have a point Ben- he's exaggerating a lot, but not quite the fabulist that Biden has been.

Speaking as a highly experienced RN who's worked with the elderly almost my entire career of 35 years, to include full physical and psychological assessments multiple times a day, there is a major difference between Biden and Trump in a variety of key indicators. While no self-respecting health care professional would make a binding assessment based on Televised appearances and "speeches", there is enough there to warrant a full evaluation for one person and an understanding that everyone has a simple misspoke word or two for the other person.

And for the record, I noticed this need for a thorough evaluation, immediately before Biden became president. But I'm nobody. Who would listen to me? Seriously. I'm more shocked at how hundreds of people who have had close interaction both before and after the 2020 election decided it was morally correct to keep their mouths shut. That is heinous.

One more thing... I'd like to see any of the commentors here, who are bashing on DJT, and criticizing a few misspoke words, to live through the stress and untold amount of utter nonsense he has dealt with over the last 8 years. And you want to hang him up on a few mispoken words? That's all you have? You could do better? Please ... A majority of people would be on the floor in a puddle calling for mommy.

The Democrats, the press and Harris emphatically stated Biden was fine for years. Any attempt to point out that “the Emperor is naked” was denounced as ageist, racist and any other invective they could think of. Then, “just like that” as Forrest Gump would say, he wasn’t. The fact that he was behind in every poll and losing ground couldn’t have had anything to do with it…..or could it?

Wish Trump would listen to your voice and avoid the “dumping on others” rhetoric. It’s not worth the time. Policy change should be the focus and facts.

90% of the polls are designed to get you DOWN and suppress Republican voter turnout.

And that's scary. I saw a Democrat strategist who was saying the same thing. He had done a deep analysis of recent polls and felt they were purposely skewed left and were very misleading.

“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”

“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”

My metaphor of choice is that you can't rebuild a home on a cracked and crumbling foundation. I'm mean you can try but the house won't last more than a few years. If you want to fix something that is broken down to the foundation (and for reference, the Constitution is not the foundation in this metaphor, it is the ingredients for the concrete.) You have to demolish and remove it. Very labor intensive, dirty and dusty. Then you scrape the land and set out gravel and a frame. Then you pour. Then you let it cure. Finally you can build. That is what we have to do. We have to demolish the foundation and cart away the debris.
