Amen, Amen, Amen! I too have become a one issue voter, as I vehemently believe 'gender affirming care' is quite frankly, the darkness (use whatever term you want for it Evil, Satan, Baal), staring us straight in the face, and saying:

'I don't think you have the courage to do anything. I think America's apathy and disdain for the Truth is far enough along now, to where I can take innocent, immature children, and sentence them to permanent confusion, sterility, a life long dependence on drugs to fight what every cell in their body says they are, mental instability, etc, etc, and you are just going to say, thank goodness its not my kids or that doesn't sound right, let me get back to whatever it is I do to forget about this world'

Think about it, seriously give this issue time to resonate in your mind. How on earth did we get to a place where 'adults' and 'professionals' found a way to justify this?? Don't YOU ever let them say, well, you're not a Dr, or have a medical background! Everyone is capable in their heart to see that this is wrong.

I do canvassing from time to time, and I relish the chance to bring this topic up, especially when I know I'm talking to a member of the LGBT etc folks (Almost every time, they look at me and concede that this is not right (some clearly, some by just cutting the conversation short, or changing the topic because they know they can't justify it). I will add, that my debates have always been very respectful to their credit. Yet, here we are, passively allowing this madness.

Though I'm commanded to love all, when it comes to children (the most innocent and vulnerable of our society) how can anyone not see the extra urgency that we need to protect what we have been charged, above all else, to protect!! God Speed Sasha, thank you for talking so forcefully about this!

I need to do more, we need to do more, Sasha is right, this issue can get more level-headed people elected to office. Just watch how many Democrats start coming out against it once they see the tide turn. You'll have confirmed their character as they sway with the tide, but at least they would have dropped this insidious issue.

Do you have ideas on how we can more effectively fight this, more effectively get the word out? Contact me whconner@protonmail.com (hope I didn't break a rule here, I don't want to be kicked off this encouraging and enlightening blog, please forgive me if I did).

Democrats have ruined generations of blacks via utterly abysmal public schools run by teachers union, DAs that don’t prosecute leading to cops that don’t arrest leading to millions of criminals on street leading to many thousands of young black shootings and violence; welfare for fatherless homes to break the nuclear family. Democrats are the modern slave holders.

You have a point. The only Democratic representatives that I’m aware of who have voted across party lines on state legislation to affirm the biological definition of “woman” and to support the medical needs of detransitioners, have been black and brown (in Texas and in Kansas). Also, the percentage of black men and Latinos voting for Trump in 2020 increased over 2016. It’s an Interesting phenomenon.

That's really the fundamental flaw in the whole "trans" nonsense. "Trans" implies moving from one to another, but they can't seem to define what one or the other actually is.

Then there's the whole "non-binary" crap, which by virtue of declaring oneself "non-binary" you create - wait for it - a binary.

Trans, to the Marxist Left, doesn't mean "change", it means transform. Their goal is to so disrupt the systems and institutions of our society that we will beg for their help to stop the madness. And then, they get what they always wanted from the beginning: a Marxist Utopia, which as we know, cannot exist. but it will be too late. The Left must be resisted at every turn, with everything we have got, for as long as it takes. Marxism must be destroyed if America is to have a future.

We should always have compassion fo rate mentally ill, which is what gender dysphoria is. They deserve help for their illness, not surgery that butchers, maims, and destroys. It is inconceivable to me that we encourage the young to think they have the wrong genitalia, then destroy the means for them to enjoy their sexuality. It is the most evil bait-and-switch game ever developed. Our medical system is destroying the future of these young people, sterilizing them, in the name of what? Protecting the planet from climate change?

Love God, love man, hate sin, as we are all sinners. Judge people as individuals, on their character, period. If you are challenging my Christian beliefs, than get them right. I do not hate folks in the LGB community anymore than I hate addicts part of the homeless community. I hate the sin that has separated them from God as I am respectful and loving to everyone as I am commanded to be.

The canvassing I do has nothing to do with this topic, I bring it up on my own, simply asking folks how they feel about 'gender affirming care' as I believe it helps to talk to people about it because It's so wrong.

I feel that 'Homophobia' has become no different than you are a 'conspiracy theorist', you are a 'racist', its too often just used to shut down respectful dialogue. Hate can come from all groups of people, from all view points, because we're discussing fallen man, who's only hope is understanding and accepting the gospel.

I look forward to more respectful dialogue with you McTavish, all I ask is I'm given the benefit of the doubt as I try (not always successfully) to do with all. God bless.

Its funny, as I was writing that, the first thought I had was, I'm probably going to get something about using an 'old' saying, adage, etc, lol. But that's fine, it's all good, as you say, we all have our own experiences, echo chambers, beliefs, etc.

If we can't have a respectful exchange of thoughts and ideas, what hope do we have? And you obviously adhere to the same principle, thank you.

One of the hardest things about Christianity is truly believing in your heart as opposed to 'going through the motions'. For example, when you say something may not win me many fans, the best response would be, ultimately, it is only God whom I hope approves. But, the honest man acknowledges his own pride and almost always would love to get 'likes' and kudos, etc. So, to me, that illustrates the Truth of the gospel. God knows the incredible power/seduction of earthly pursuits/desires and he knew our only hope was having the Holy Spirit within us.

I apologize If I'm preaching too much. I truly just want to create more good relationships with folks from all perspectives to work for good. As I feel strongly that things, in general, are arcing for the worse.

Winning the White House and congress would be a shallow victory in my opinion. The real threat comes from the cultural, rule making and law enforcement institutions. Schools at all levels, prosecutors, federal and local law enforcement, unelected bureaucrats, federal and local rule making organizations i.e. school boards, library associations, etc., all wield much more power and are almost invisible and virtually unaccountable that they run without pushback. These people set policy and unless exposed are not held accountable. Plus when exposed, they attack their exposers and try to cancel them.

“Draining the swamp” isn’t a one or two day project. It’s a planned and coordinated tear down and rebuild of our government structure. Far left, radical progressives use the “transformational”. The republicans need the same mentality but with a much higher resolve to offset and reverse the momentum.

This Real Clear Investigations article below from 2020 is about the “1619 Project” and what the author Nikole Hannah-Jones told the editors of the Chicago Tribune about its purpose which is, she said, to instill guilt in white liberals so they will support reparations for blacks. White liberals are not being targeted though. White children in our public schools are. And our Woke white leftist ruling class loves this and is totally supportive of it. She was even given a Pulitzer Prize for this poison in 2020. This is not “black history” though. This is anti-white hate mongering pretending to be history. This is evil and this is what the democrats have become. And these are the same people who are working to put Trump in prison.

“If you read the whole project, I don’t think you can come away from it without understanding the project is an argument for reparations,” she told the Chicago Tribune in October.

“I'm not writing to convert Trump supporters. I write to try to get liberal white people to do what they say they believe in,” she said. “I'm making a moral argument. My method is guilt.”

The Democrats, and their media allies (but I repeat myself), believe they have a path to ensure Trump is the GOP nominee, and is also fatally weakened among independents - preserving a second Biden / Harris term, and perhaps returning the House to their control.

But I think they are risking driving Trump out of the race. As several pro-Trump analysts have pointed out, he is running short of cash trying to run a presidential campaign while also defending himself against multiple prosecutions and civil cases. At some point, he may have to - as a matter of simple pragmatics - focus on the legal cases.

Were that to happen, then I think you'd see a real Democratic panic - and probably see California's Gov. Moonbeam II enter the Democratic primary.

Which, if he wins, would be the kiss of death for the Democrats in the so-called "flyover" country.

While the urban coastal elites would rally to Moonbeam II's candidacy, a recent survey showed that even a majority of Californians don't want him to be president. Why would we? California has regular power outages, more than 1/3 of all the nation's homeless, the highest poverty rate in the country, and among the lowest test scores for our students.

Were Trump to pull out of the primary, that would allow the Republicans to shift the focus of the race to Democratic policies - the last thing the Democrats want to run on.

It's not hard to predict that the Democratic-Media Complex would try to tar whatever frontrunner emerges in the Republican field (as we saw earlier this year with Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis, who was vilified as an honest-to-god, goosestepping Nazi by the national media).

But the reality is that the vast majority of moderate, centrist and conservative voters tuned out the national media long ago. Outlets like the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc., mostly serve up soft-serve quasi-news to the already converted. With no one outside the tribe paying attention, the legacy media has lost (well, thrown away) almost all of its influence.

I think the odds are slim of Trump dropping out - but, again, the finances may dictate that. And if so, I think the Democrats will have overplayed their abuse of power and will lose not only the White House, but likely the Senate as well.

I could never vote for a candidate (or a party) who thinks that a man can say he’s a woman and become a woman instantaneously, or that a woman or a girl can say she’s a boy or a man and become that instantly simply by stating it. I would never have believed that people would accept this and that our language would be changed as a result of this bullshit or that I and other citizens can be coerced into accepting it regardless of our personal beliefs. It’s ironic that Jordan Peterson goes around asking when has the left gone too far when it’s clear that he already knows the answer. They went too far when they obliterated sex in favor of gender (which doesn’t exist except as a mental construct invented by a deranged psychologist called, surreally, Money). Democrats have embraced the idea of cultural appropriation and they regard culture as sacrosanct apparently, yet it’s OK for an appropriation of an entire sex by men. Any man. What total bullshit.

There is a Mental problem underlying all this hysteria for trans rights and trans kids. It’s some kind of deranged do-gooder impetus that doesn’t see that it’s actually doing the opposite of good. I think at bottom Democrats need therapy. They are so fearful about harm, especially harm to children and minorities, and yet they don’t care that there’s 85,000 unaccompanied minors who went through the border and have somehow been lost—nobody knows where they are apparently. It’s a hysteria that switches on and off, Or that has pronounced Blindspots. The Kavanaugh hearings showed this hysteria in full bloom—Trump’s inauguration also. There’s that famous clip of the woman screaming, “no!!!” as he is inaugurated. I do believe the media is behind this hysteria, promoting it with their inflammatory rhetoric at every turn, but why don’t people see through this more than they do? How could they possibly be fooled by something so blatantly false? I live with these people— they are my neighbors and we smile and say hello every day and I wonder “how could you possibly tolerate all this complete bullshit and think it’s OK?” Yes, there is a problem with logical thinking ability going on here but there’s a deeper psychological issue that needs to be looked at seriously. There is something deeply wrong with Democrats psychologically. They are unable to control their emotions— look at Nancy Pelosi childishly tearing up Trump’s speech on national television as she stood behind him—and she was proud of it. Dem activists go around screaming all the time, they’re willing to get violent, they believe crazy ideas that don’t make any sense and that the rest of the world isn’t going along with either.

Sasha grossly underestimates the level of tribalism in American society today; tens of millions of people (from all classes) would literally never consider voting for anyone who doesn’t have “Democrat” beside their name on the ballot.

It has nothing to do with the issues (most voters don’t actually know/care what the candidate’s position is — except maybe on key items like abortion). IT IS THEIR IDENTITY, without which they would be socially lost. When she says the Dems have “nothing to offer” that is wrong: they offer “belonging”, which is the only thing people truly want. When faced with the choice between “freedom” and “love”, nearly every person chooses love. It’s a cocktail headier than meth and opioids.

Obviously, this tribalism is taking us to some horrible places, but look at Afghanistan; tribalism prevails over everything when it becomes entrenched as identity.

I've been beating this drum for a few years now. Voting for a Democrat isn't about real issues. Most Democrat voters believe the world is going to end at any moment because of the sun monster, virtue signaling about white on black racism and "transphobia" is real virtue, and that being in an echo chamber is enlightening. *Most of them believe whatever the MSM feeds them. The hill they are willing to die on is the one they are told to die on. So they "virtue vote" - regardless of the destruction it causes.

What Sasha is pointing out so well here is how ludicrous and stupid those virtues they are told to support have become.

*I am in regular contact with Democrats who are "semi-boomers." They still believe Conservatives run the corporations, want forever wars, and are all old white racist men who would curb stomp someone who was gay for looking at them wrong. Half of them don't even know what a "transgender" person is - and love to drink Bud Light. You bring up Mulvaney and they look at you like you grew a second head. You know that guy in the Matrix saying "ignorance is bliss" to the Agents while he eats a fake steak? I've met those people.

They still vote.

Agree. And I’ll go you one further: back in 2008, my spouse unwittingly exposed the utter superficiality of the typical Democrat voter. The conversation went like this:

Democrat: I just love Obama

Spouse: Oh, what do you love about him?

Democrat: I love everything about him.

Spouse: like what?

Democrat: I love his ideas.

Spouse: Which ideas?

Democrat: All of them!

Spouse: Can you give me an example?

Democrat: All his ideas.

Spouse: Name one.

Democrat: [flustered silence]

And standing there listening, I realized with complete certainty that MOST voters have absolutely NO IDEA what their candidate stands for; it’s all about “the party” and being in the “in group”. Is it any wonder that “democracy” isn’t working so well with such a willfully ignorant populace?

Team D does much the same. For example, Team D bewailed most piteously the Bush tax cuts and the Trump tax cut, then did nothing when they had the White House and both houses of Congress. In fact, they extended the Bush tax cuts.

Or the war on Yemen. Team D Congressmen rightly held Trump to task for US participation in that genocide, but promptly changed their tune when Biden took office.
