Why?

Are you in Michigan now? Yes, Sasha did outstanding in this piece.

Yes. I know Mike Rogers is doing really well for Senate. I see more signs for Harris, but I do not think it means that much, as Trump people are still careful about their outward preference. Trump and Vance are here a lot. More Muslims than I imagined are for Trump. Many are small businessmen.

This is one of your finest pieces Sasha. As someone who turned away from the Democratic Party at the same time and for the same reasons that you did… thank you for all the ways you have guided me and given me hope and clarity. Over the past few weeks I have been really working on getting off the emotional roller coaster of this election and turning it over to God. My heart and my common sense tell me Trump will win, but I know we are not living in a time characterized by much common sense or fairness. I’ve been praying the rosary every day for months in hopes it will help this election go the way I believe it needs to go and to help me accept it if it goes the other way. This morning my husband and daughter and I went to mass and just prayed that God lets this land where it needs to… to protect the most vulnerable in all the ways we humans are vulnerable. After I get off work on Tuesday afternoon I’m going to go back to church with a group of my friends to say the rosary again along with a few hours of silent prayer. After I have finished all that I’m going to walk out and just let this go. As a regular hard working middle class mom who is always just trying to do the right thing, I have done all I can do.

Jane, what really blows my mind is that about Michigan is that Governor Whitmer was reelected by about nine percentage points. After what she subjected Michiganders to during the covid scam. What happened??? Did Whitmer cheat? 2022 kind of broke me. The "Red wave" turned out to be a red droplet.

Matthew,

What I remember is that Tudor Dixon, the Republican candidate, was an extreme pro life person, who wouldn’t allow any exceptions and ran a lackluster campaign. We had some other people who were disqualified over alleged false signatures on their nominating petitions. James Craig, the former chief of police for Detroit, excited a lot of us. He was a conservative and won my heart when he was asked at the height of the rioting in this country, why rioting never got out of hand in Detroit he answered: we never retreat. I always feared there had been some underhanded action disqualifying not only Mr. Craig but Perry Johnson and 3 others.

thank you. In retrospect, I believe it will turn out to be a blessing that Trump didn’t get a second term in 2020. In the interim, he's taken the measure of the blob, and will start a second term in Jan 2025, backed by a posse which has the credentials and experience to prevail. I can get excited about what Vance, Kennedy, Musk, Gabbert, Patel, Ramaswami etc will be able to accoplish.

I also believe the post election circular firing squad and finger pointing will be the end of the woke far left progressive faction of the Dems. We need that party to rebuild in the center and put "We the People" before the Oligarchs....is that even possible? Probably not, and we'll just see even more hysteria.

It even took the Chicago machine to get him elected senator - he was behind until the Chicago machine released the sealed divorce records from his opponent. Nothing could be further from the truth.

He was - and is to this day - a part of a ruthless and diabolical machine that tramples everything and everyone that dares to get in its way.

He has hated America all his life, almost as much as his wife Michelle does. And he is still wreaking havoc since he appeared on the scene in 2007, not just here but all over the world, like he did during his 8 years in office, and the last four, using Biden and the Khameleon as his puppets,. and he has never left, (first President in history not to leave DC after his term in office - wonder why that is?).

He is quite possibly the worst thing that has ever happened to this country.

Actually, he is indisputably the second worst thing to ever happen to this country. The first is liberalism which put him, a jacked up crackhead with a vastly over inflated sense of self, into office.

My two cents: MANY of us believed Obama was the Great Black Hope back then. I was even duped~ and that almost NEVER happens, 'cause I can see into and through people. I didn't even vote for him during the first run, 'cause I was scared he might be assassinated, and I didn't wanna see his kids left fatherless (what an idiot I was)!

Perhaps it's best to avoid invalidating another's perspectives and opinions. We are ALL entitled to see the world thru our own lens, rose-colored or not. I believe millions of us VIEWED Obama as a brilliant orator and essentially GOOD for our country. Still, it's OKAY to have been dead wrong about the prick!

If we could always determine who's trustworthy and who is not, there's be no divorces in the world. It takes a Big Person to admit (in hindsight) they've made a shame-producing mistake or error. I'm fairly clairvoyant, but even I was fooled~ and not much slides past me without detection.

Along these lines, people with Borderline Personality Disorder traits are incredibly seductive. I can detect 'em within 15 seconds of talking with 'em by phone... but Obama's apparent brilliance eclipsed my (usually stellar) instincts and intuition, and I was seduced~ along with most of the nation. Nobody LEARNS from getting it "RIGHT" all the time. We ONLY learn by getting it WRONG, and discovering what NOT to do, the next time around.

But we both kept watching and listening to him and did research and changed our minds quickly, realizing he was a communist/socialist. Then I found out that the only way he won both his races in IL,, was by hiring lawyers (no doubt with S0r0s money) and getting all other candidates off the ticket (except for the front runner) by comparing signatures, dates, zip codes, etc. on the petitions (to get them on the ballot) and found enough discrepancies to get them thrown off the ballot. There are a LOT of former Bernie followers now in the GOP. I hear JD Vance talk about positions of old school liberals (like suspicion of Big Money) with respect and gratitude. Removing oneself from a long standing association is not easy, especially when the identity is wrapped up in that label. NOBODY dances in the light ALL the time, and if they pretend to or say they do, they're living with only half a personality structure, and LYING. Too many exert way too much energy on being "Christlike," when in reality, we were NOT created to be gods. We were created to be fallible, flawed and Human, with light AND dark personality aspects (which even CHRIST had)!

The problem is that people think anger is "dark" and it's not. It's a godly emotion. The Apostle Paul wrote "Be ye angry and (but) sin not; don't let the sun go down on your wrath" (meaning, talk to the person(s) about it). Also, the Creator originally created us to be perfect, like Him, but the first humans walked away from that and now we experience the flawed, screwed up-ness. Those who believe in the perfect Christ, son of the Creator, being the sacrifice for our screw ups, get's a new nature, by way of God's spirit residing in them.
