With the clear admission that I am not an attorney, the way in which our legal system works is that to be convicted of a crime a person must be formally indicted for a specific crime and there must be evidence beyond a reasonable doubt of the person's guilt.

Personally I am prepared to believe that Joe Biden may have done something wrong. However to get me actually to believe that he did commit a crime I need to know specifically with what he is charged and I need to see court admissible evidence of his guilt.

As matters now stand, you have specified neither an actual crime with which Joe Biden may be charged nor provided court admissible evidence of his guilt.

Our legal system no longer works.

It still works, but only for some.

Of course you are right in terms of an actual criminal conviction. I have pointed out several times that criminal cases usually don’t spring up fully formed and wrapped up with a bow. Evidence is built up with one piece leading to another until a case is made. To point out that there is not enough evidence now is not evidence of innocence.

The other point is that a President is “tried” in the court of public opinion. This President will presumably be on the ballot in 2024. The idea that “you can’t prove he’s a criminal” is a solid basis for a campaign seems absurd.

You may be right that many people will see things that way. How sad for our country if that’s the case.
