I’m going to download the app now. Often I find myself not knowing how to say a prayer as well as I want to. All I do know is that God knows what I’m trying to say, but this app may be a way to help. 🙏
Some very accessible thinking about Christianity is in the renowned books of C.S. Lewis. Truly excellent, in fact. He was an Oxford professor and one of the storied Inklings (along with JRR Tolkien).
I love Hallow. There is a great deal of good free content but I’m going to start subscribing because the paid content seems really interesting. It has music channels for calm and beautiful Christmas music, too.
Love Hallow. I too listen on nights when I can’t sleep and my mind goes off on tangents.
The Saint stories give me courage. The daily Mass readings keep me focused. And Bishop Barron’s Sunday homily’s are deeply theological and thought provoking.
Many offerings to appeal to many people. Highly recommend!
I don't have the need at this point, but glad it is available for those who do. I think we have way too little religion as a society. A belief in something greater than us as individuals, and a set of coherent rules to guide our daily interactions with family, friends, business people and most importantly ourselves, is essential. A mutual religion anchors society. There is a reason it has been around since the beginning of civilization
Thanks Sasha…raised Catholic, attended Catholic schools my whole life, except for awhile living in Japan…I can always learn how to pray better, more deeply and more. I’ll check out Hallow now…and I love Fr. Mike Schmidt…and who doesn’t like Marky Mark…then there’s Jim Caviezel, and of course, Mel. May God bless you 🙏🇺🇸🇮🇱
Thanks again for the heads up Sasha, I don’t always get the email notice from TCN. This was such an interesting discussion! I’m not using the app but will look into it as a way to help discipline myself in building my relationship with Jesus. I did read the Bible last year using BIBLEin365 app. At most, it’s takes about 30 minutes a day, well worth doing.
Why are people so afraid to admit that public schooled teaches us away from faith, and away from God? Atheism is built into the public school curriculum. The theory of evolution is not being taught as theory. Evolution accompanied by an expansive never ending cosmos ,the first “law” of thermodynamics ( should they be using the term law on things that are truly only speculation ) and a history of war stemming from religious difference rather than Good vs evil makes for a much more comfortable reason for existence with less consequences for the teenage mind so full of life and death questions with a major emphasis on the fear of death. It’s not a coincidence that children stop believing in creation, Nothing taught in school is 100%, at the end of the day it’s all speculation being taught as fact, with no sign of a loving intelligent creator. Also the push toward the they/them mindset is deceitful beyond comparison. Growing up believing that this system is the full proof way our honest government does things and trusting word of mouth and pictures from a third party non the less, is not good it’s evil and very dangerous. Does anyone disagree with me on this? Please be honest!
Ya it does, I would have never known if God didn’t come into my life and slap upside head. School had completely fooled, I actually blamed Christianity for making people weak enough to fall in line behind government. I thought the universe was conscious and completely aware of us ( panpsychism ), quantum physics had my head wrapped around some kind of reincarnation or a dimensional learning experience. Energy could not be created nor destroyed so we were all immortal to some extent. The public school system was most definitely created to take people from Gods truth. It’s evil yet every day walk our babies to the bus stop so they can go to school that it’s a good thing to be transgendered, and that humans originated from monkeys 4 billion years ago or what ever it is they say. I think the picture of the cosmos they put into children’s heads wrong, because they can’t prove any of it. They are looking at pictures and reading literature and tracing as fact when they’ve never actually been up to space, so really they can’t truly know what it looks like. I’m not saying the earth is flat because I also have never been up there so I can’t truly know what it looks like. I’ve seen pictures created by people who will do or say anything for money ( almost every on earth ) .
The above is a link to a list of books written by the Catholic writer Heather King. I have only read a few of them, in particular “Redeemed” and “Poor Baby”.
It is my impression that you will be able to related to her life story as told in those two books and know the Church helped her. One of my daughters told me about her nearly if not more than 20 years ago.
‘Religion’ is one thing, Faith in Christ is another. You cannot call good, evil and evil, good. So this idea that 'God doesn’t really care about who you’re sleeping with’ (Tucker has claimed this) is a LIE straight out of HELL. This is what most liberalized religious institutions appear to teach. Sexual Sin is a sin against your own body and since your body is a temple to the Holy Spirit, you are called to live a holy life.
Oh, THAT Alex Jones. Good.
I almost didn’t listen as I didn’t realize there was another Alex Jones. I’m glad I listened to this.
🤣🤣🤣
Best way to become acquainted with God is reading the Bible. The Gospel of John is a great place to start.
And then Romans
And then Job
Romans is great, particularly Chapter 8. And Job, while not cheerful, is certainly thought provoking.

Yeah I’m in the same boat about not knowing how to pray

Sasha, please make sure you are praying to Jesus (Messiah).. if not, you open yourself up to dark spiritual deception. Universalism is not God’s way.

Its a guide but in the wrong hands its the worst form of control.

Darwinian Evolution is bunk.
Genesis describes our origin.

Lol thought you were talking about AJ of Infowars 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Sasha. There is some other Alex Jones.ok. I'll give it a listen. No technical difficulties here . Just another Alex Jones.
