Just finished watching this. I don’t know Jeffrey Sachs well enough to know if his assessments are accurate, it is nonetheless, very sobering. Maybe we could stop playing what he has described as an 'enormously dangerous game of Risk’? I kind of want a more peaceful world and for our country, and other nations, to have future generations.
Jeffrey Sachs is someone I follow who is sane and intelligent. What people like him, John Mearsheimer and Glenn Greenwald say about our society and our world are why I believe America is collapsing, our world is in a tailspin and humanity is too dysfunctional to survive. Only AI can save our sinking ship. We sure can’t save ourselves. We’re not all crazy but enough are to bring us all down.
Sachs is certainly not afraid of controversy. From Ukraine to COVID to China to nuclear power to ending poverty, he just jumps right in and whacks the sacred cows. Based on his history and associations, I would say he wants to be a liberal internationalist but can't abide the lies promulgated by others.
I do wish Tucker would do transcripts. I would even pay to join his site but two and a half hours for something I could read in 20 minutes is too much.
If you care about US history (and our future), you need to listen to this. I had heard of this guy but didn’t know anything about him. He was with Yeltsin at the very moment the Soviet Union fell and has had a front row seat or at the table to quite a few of the most important decisions by the US government over the past 40 years.
Extremely astute guy but I loved to hear how on earth he believes a Palestinian State, something that’s been offered to them multiple times for nigh over 75 years right up to today, and rejected BY the Palestinians themselves every time, somehow will magically end that war.
Oddly, this is a case of the US thinking it can do whatever it wants that he so rightly criticizes elsewhere. If the US and EU want a two state solution they will have to impose it on both Israelis and Palestinians. This is known as colonialism and won't bring peace.
These government fools are destroying us with never a thought to what might be right or to what Americans want. There are truly godless evil people within both parties.

Right after Russia’s invasion I decided to do a little background research on the situation and stumbled upon Oliver Stone’s 2017 film ‘Ukraine on Fire’. That told me everything I needed to know, and no the US is certainly not innocent.
I didn’t watch this until yesterday. I was quite disturbed by it, and I was really surprised I hadn’t seen much reaction to it. I did some research and he seems to have had somewhat of a conversion. But he has certainly had an interesting career in the bowels of the beast. The Leviathan has been at this for a long time. God help us.
