Your comment reminds me that the best teachers I had in college were in Philadelphia Community College and Delaware County Community College. Regular classes were at Drexel U and mba at St Joe’s on GI Bill. I regret I could not have signed up for your Rock History class; it sounds fun and fascinating. I'm a Stones person too. I saw them do a concert in Detroit once (Sixties or Seventies) that I will never forget. I still have a collection of most of their albums on vinyl. I have come around to your viewpoint on Vivek. I just realized yesterday that I have not been giving Ramaswamy serious consideration as a candidate because he is so behind in the polls. When I think about who he is, I am very aligned with his perspective. He is young, but that is better than being too old. I read his book on woke capital and really liked it.

I saw a video of Vivek Ramaswamy recently at a Townhall meeting where he was asked what he would do on his first day as president. He said he would issue an Executive Order banning race based affirmative action. That’s exactly the opposite of what Biden did on his first day in office which was to issue an Executive Order to replace meritocracy wherever it can be found with Equity aka Equal Outcomes. This actually highlighted the profound difference between the Woke vs the nonWoke in our society. It seems a simple thing for a county to have enough ballots, and I doubt that Houston is the only city in Texas turning "blue."
It is very easy to cheat in urban areas, and even a little cheating in an urban area by sheer numbers can disenfranchise large numbers of rural voters. Do their voices not count?
Also, Republicans tend to be in person, election day voters, so if Houston is "running out" of ballots, one could construe it as a deliberate attempt to disenfranchise Republican voters. I'm guessing that's what the legislature thought. Much like the whole "oops the voting machines don't work" trick in Maircopa in 2022, this was a deliberate attempt to sabotage Republican chances. It's a valid conclusion as these things have a tendency of only going one way.
As for what happens? I don't know. What happens when you call the integrity of any election into question, either by throwing out all the votes or making the election so chaotic and so untrustworthy (2020, fighting ID requirements for voting or cleaning up voter rolls because somehow you think black people are incapable of following directions or having IDs, which suggests a strong bit of racism on your part) that large numbers of people start to believe that elections are no longer a method to voice their displeasure or to create change and no longer a true measure of what the citizenry thinks? I think I'd worry more about that then getting my tighty whities in wad over a very narrow law in Texas that seems quite easy to comply with.

What difference does it make that a few hundred thousand read Substack and get to the truth mass media does not cover? The power belongs to them. On all levels. Why will they give it up? The corruption, the lies, the immoral and illegal actions have been exposed, but nothing changed. Nobody has been held accountable. That should be most alarming to sane people. We were always the country of law, but seems we no longer are. The legal system appears to be corrupted too, with many recent facts pointing to it. Here’s a video about the black wilding Sunday night in the loop in downtown Chicago. A different video I posted here earlier about this said there were 300 to 400 hundred in this mob that came downtown on rapid transit trains from the south side to do their wilding. This Hindu saint though considered self-control basic for being human. At one point in the book he said “Discipline gives strength. A bird gets its strength from air. A king from his army. -Sam Bank Fried: Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas, a day before he was expected to testify on the sudden collapse of FTX before the House Committee on Financial Services.

A Jewish friend of mine who grew up in the Soviet Union and came here around 1990 is very much into cultural things like opera, ballet, theater and dance. It used to be Louis Farrakhan who was the main source of black anti-Semitism in America. When I look for stories on CNN that I perceive as non favorable to Biden- I generally find myself navigating away from front page to their ‘Politics’ sub link. I think it is similar w/ Fox and negative Trump stories. My unsubstantiated feeling is that (most) citizens arriving to CNN or Fox websites rarely, if ever, navigate to a subset link. Not that it isn’t available, but that many are too lazy to dig. Just my current thinking, but always open to data that changes my mind.

Do you actually think they used full testimony or just sections to push their narrative as support of ‘nothing to see here.’ DOJ worked hard on Saturday (not a usual work day) to threaten Archer start jail sentence immediately, only to have to send second letter after exposed for their intimidation that Archer would be allowed to testify. Regardless whether they spoke business, the phone call was to verify the connection, formerly described as the ‘brand,’ so they would proceed with their business/bribery schemes. If business wasn’t discussed, it was intentional to deny plausibility as described by Bobolinski. Business and bribes/demands were made by Hunter with threats to follow by Joe Biden.

Joe and his mouthpieces cannot seriously claim that it's all a coincidence. If the names were "Trump" instead of "Biden" in this scenario, do you think the Dems/MSM would be so ho-hum about it? It's as blatant as it gets.
And it is ludicrous to think that Hunter just had a strange penchant for calling Joe during his business meetings. I have children and I can say that none of them have ever called me during a business meeting. Why would they, unless it involved me? It's nonsensical. The Republicans, to their credit, are investigating all of this and gathering evidence in a meticulous way, including bank records, before launching an impeachment inquiry. That is a good thing. We all want to see a solid case laid out and tried. But this bit of portraying Joe as, at best, pure as the driven snow and just "a loving father" standing by his troubled son, and, at worst, as an unwitting dupe in Hunter's schemes is ridiculous. The man has been in Washington for over FIFTY YEARS as Senator, VP and now POTUS. If he doesn't understand that his position of near God-like power gives him extraordinary responsibilites including being aware of it possibly being abused by, especially, his own drug addict son for illegal gain, then he's a complete idiot.

The other point is that a President is “tried” in the court of public opinion. This President will presumably be on the ballot in 2024. The idea that “you can’t prove he’s a criminal” is a solid basis for a campaign seems absurd.

Interesting, I thought. Nothing to do with English.

I'm a Stones person too. I saw them do a concert in Detroit once (Sixties or Seventies) that I will never forget. I still have a collection of most of their albums on vinyl. To their credit the Stones did a lot for the black artists they admired, getting the artists themselves in front of the crowds of mostly white kids rather than just covering their work.

I have come around to your viewpoint on Vivek. I just realized yesterday that I have not been giving Ramaswamy serious consideration as a candidate because he is so behind in the polls. When I think about who he is, I am very aligned with his perspective. He is young, but that is better than being too old. I read his book on woke capital and really liked it.

I just reread 1984. Never before have I felt so close to that being our actual reality. Why is it no one in Washington uses the term TREASON? They use all the other words but never treason. It seems a simple thing for a county to have enough ballots, and I doubt that Houston is the only city in Texas turning "blue."
It is very easy to cheat in urban areas, and even a little cheating in an urban area by sheer numbers can disenfranchise large numbers of rural voters. Do their voices not count?
Also, Republicans tend to be in person, election day voters, so if Houston is "running out" of ballots, one could construe it as a deliberate attempt to disenfranchise Republican voters. I'm guessing that's what the legislature thought. Much like the whole "oops the voting machines don't work" trick in Maircopa in 2022, this was a deliberate attempt to sabotage Republican chances. It's a valid conclusion as these things have a tendency of only going one way.
As for what happens? I don't know. What happens when you call the integrity of any election into question, either by throwing out all the votes or making the election so chaotic and so untrustworthy (2020, fighting ID requirements for voting or cleaning up voter rolls because somehow you think black people are incapable of following directions or having IDs, which suggests a strong bit of racism on your part) that large numbers of people start to believe that elections are no longer a method to voice their displeasure or to create change and no longer a true measure of what the citizenry thinks? I think I'd worry more about that then getting my tighty whities in wad over a very narrow law in Texas that seems quite easy to comply with.

What difference does it make that a few hundred thousand read Substack and get to the truth mass media does not cover? The power belongs to them. On all levels. Why will they give it up? The corruption, the lies, the immoral and illegal actions have been exposed, but nothing changed. Nobody has been held accountable. That should be most alarming to sane people. We were always the country of law, but seems we no longer are. The legal system appears to be corrupted too, with many recent facts pointing to it. It must be extremely painful to live in Chicago as it is destroyed like this! When I was living near Detroit I used to visit Chicago occasionally. It is one of our great cities! I am kind of a foodie, and I loved the patchwork of ethnic neighborhoods with excellent restaurants.

Here, they willingly follow Trump in portraying De Santis the way Trump does. Maybe DeSantis can refine his message. Will it get through? Right now, and it’s early, I would say that the R nominee could possibly be Youngkin. Time will tell.
As for Biden’s alleged corruption, I wonder about Obama. Some here have said that he knew he had a path to future wealth and while that’s likely so, he still was Biden’s boss during this period. Did he know about this? Did he care? Did he profit? Or, was he so self absorbed that he obliviously allowed his VP to sell out?

A Jewish friend of mine who grew up in the Soviet Union and came here around 1990 is very much into cultural things like opera, ballet, theater and dance. I sent her this remix of Neil Diamond’s song “Red Red Wine” from YouTube recently. She said that she’d recently gone to a theater to see dance and was very disappointed because it was like this crazy dancing in the video and she could not comprehend what they were singing.

When I look for stories on CNN that I perceive as non favorable to Biden- I generally find myself navigating away from front page to their ‘Politics’ sub link. I think it is similar w/ Fox and negative Trump stories. My unsubstantiated feeling is that (most) citizens arriving to CNN or Fox websites rarely, if ever, navigate to a subset link. Not that it isn’t available, but that many are too lazy to dig. Just my current thinking, but always open to data that changes my mind.

Regardless whether they spoke business, the phone call was to verify the connection, formerly described as the ‘brand,’ so they would proceed with their business/bribery schemes. For the sake of the argument, let me concede that Hunter Biden is a completely nefarious person and that he was guilty of all sorts of crimes. For me, and I hope for you, the critical issue is whether Joe Biden did something that was illegal.
So my questions are: (1) Of what actual crime is Joe Biden accused and (2) What is your court admissible evidence to support those charges?
Assuming that the CNN and Washington Post reports are accurate, today Devon Archer failed to provide evidence that Joe Biden did something illegal. Period.
If other media report different conclusions, please remember my two questions: (1) What is Joe Biden's alleged crime? and (2) What is the court admissible evidence supporting the charges? Those two questions should be our focus.

1). What legitimate business service was Hunter providing to foreign entities worth millions of dollars to them?

Many of our courts are now committed to “social justice” and have no interest in the rule of law. The DC courts that sent the Jan 6 rally protestors to prison for walking around in the Capitol are a good example of that and I’ve read that Joe is putting as many “social justice” judges on the federal courts as he can. With the clear admission that I am not an attorney, the way in which our legal system works is that to be convicted of a crime a person must be formally indicted for a specific crime and there must be evidence beyond a reasonable doubt of the person's guilt.
Personally I am prepared to believe that Joe Biden may have done something wrong. However to get me actually to believe that he did commit a crime I need to know specifically with what he is charged and I need to see court admissible evidence of his guilt.

The other point is that a President is “tried” in the court of public opinion. This President will presumably be on the ballot in 2024. The idea that “you can’t prove he’s a criminal” is a solid basis for a campaign seems absurd.
